Uila wakes up to a sharp knocking at her door. She sits up confusedly and stretches before heading to the door. She opens it, revealing a way-too-awake-for-the-time Raihan. "Yes? Can I help you?" He grins. "Morning princess. I was wondering if you wanted to get breakfast. I promised that I would show you around a bit and it would be a good start." He places his hands into his pockets, a side smile ever present on his face. Oh yeah, she had forgotten he offered to show her around today. She yawns and motions for him to come inside, stepping over her sleeping Pokémon and opening her travel bag. Go ahead and make yourself at home, I'm going to shower and change and then I'll be right out." Raihan nods and turns to the pokemon scattered between the two rooms, eyes widening when he notices a sleeping Garchomp. He takes a photo of it, before taking photos of the other, unfamiliar, dragon types.
After about 10 minutes, Uila exits the bathroom, wet hair pulled back into a bun and a smile on her face. She grabs a couple pokeballs, returning roughly half of the pokemon in the room into their respective pokeballs. Raihan watches as she pulls an egg out of her travel bag and sets it onto the nightstand, clearing a space in her smaller bag and placing it in carefully. She then clips 6 pokeballs to her belt, adjusting her bag and looking toward Raihan. "Gimme one more second to find Lucario." He smiles. "Take your time." She rushes over to the bed, nudging the sleeping pokemon gently. "Lucar?" "Come on, we're getting breakfast before exploring." The sleepy Aura Pokemon slides out of bed, walking by it's trainers side, watching Raihan curiously.
Raihan smiles and gives a wave. "Good morning Lucario, how did you sleep?" The Aura Pokemon looks at the Dragon Tamer blankly, not bothering to reply. Uila sighs. "Sorry, Lucario isn't really fond of mornings, or men." Raihan sweat-drops. "Double-Whammy then." She laughs, exiting her hotel room. "Yeah, but he'll warm up to you eventually. He sure did to Professor Sycamore." Raihan feels an unknown emotion spark inside him. "Professor Sycamore?" She nods, pausing to press the button on the elevator. "Yeah, he is the Pokemon Professor of the Kalos Region. He's the one who gave me that egg. It's apparently one of the Kalos starters, but I don't know which one." She looks at him out of the corner of her eye.
"By the way, who was your starter?"
"Oh, I didn't really have one. I caught Trapinch when I was young, and now it's Flygon."
She hums. "I'm hoping to get one of the starters here."
Raihan grins. "Well I can tell you who to go to. Leon gave Hop, Victor, and Gloria their starters yesterday. He could probably get another trio for you to pick from."
Uila's eyes light up. "Really? That would be awesome!" Raihan watched in mild amusement as she bounced excitedly, shaking the elevator. "Luc, cario!" She looks down at her partner, grabbing his paw as they walk off the elevator. "Right, sorry Lucario. Now, where's breakfast?" Raihan met her curious gaze, with a smirk. "You'll just have to wait and see." She pouts. "Come on!" He grins. "Nope! Sorry! Not telling! But I can tell you what is around us as we are walking through the city." She huffs.
"Fine, also, I want a battle." He raises a brow. "With me?" She rolls her eyes. "No, with the fucking ground..."
He sighs. "Alright, after breakfast, we can do it in the arena. It's not competitor season yet anyways, and hardly anyone makes it to me early on." Uila raises a brow. "So you have seasons that competitors gather gym badges in and challenge the champion in?" He nods. "Yeah, it gives us gym leaders a chance to train and take a break after Finals." Uila just sighs and shakes her head.
"I don't know why I am asking, it's not like I am going to compete." This catches Raihans attention. "Why not?" "Well, being champion of Alola, all they did was brag and parade me around before forcing me to catch Ultra-Beasts. In Kalos all I did was sit in a tower, taking down trainers who thought they could beat Diantha. I don't want to get into something that I may hate." Raihan put his hands in his pockets. "Well, I'm not going to try and convince you to join our competition, but I will add, look at Leon. He was running around, battling, and enjoying himself. As gym leaders, we are allowed to make the most creative puzzles for the challengers to complete before facing us. It is a fun experience."
She sighs, it seemed to be enjoyable, and even as champion, Leon was free. Compared to Kalos and Alola, it seemed to be the better choice. Uila quickly got lost in her thoughts. After a few more moments, Raihan stopped. Uila looked at him confused until he motioned to the sign. Fuzzy's. "This place has the best breakfast tacos ever." Raihan opens the door, letting me through. Lucario takes one sniff and is immediately more awake, causing me to laugh. We order our food, pay, and sit down. "Luckily it's still pretty early, or else the fans would be all over here." Uila raises a brow.
"You're that popular?" He grins, placing his wrist underneath his chin. "It takes a lot to be the Eighth and Final gym leader. I'm bound to have fans." He seems to have remembered something, pulling his rotom-phone. Uila raises a confused brow, at his fiddling. "Alright, say cheese!" She looks at him, before rolling her eyes and gives a smile, Lucario beside her practically hanging off her neck. He places his phone in his pocket, looking up at Uila. "It's for Instagram later." She nods. "I still need to get a Rotom-Phone. I never needed one in Kalos, and they don't have many in Alola." Raihan lets out a dramatic gasp. "You don't have a rotom phone?" "I don't have a phone in general, city boy." Raihan ignores the sly insult sent his way easily. "Alright, after breakfast, rotom-phone, then battle. I need to introduce you to the wonders of social media. You'll be booming in no time." She stares at him. "Sure..." Once they got their food, they ate in a comfortable silence, and once they finished, they threw away their trash and were on their way to the store.
Once inside, Raihan insisted that he would buy, even though he paid for breakfast. Uila attempted to shut him down but before she could say anything, he had already chosen her phone and had handed his card over to the sales lady, who was blushing madly over him. Uila rolls her eyes, slightly annoyed at the woman's lousy attempts at flirting. Now Uila wouldn't deny the fact that Raihan was most definitely attractive, but the fact that she was supposed to be working not flirting. Lucario sensed the emotion coming from his trainer and placed his paw on her arm, snapping her out of the trance-like anger she was in. A few moments later, Raihan walks over, box in hand. She takes it from him, smiling lightly. "Thanks, but I could have paid for it myself." Raihan shakes his head. "Think of it as a 'Welcome to Galar' gift, from yours truly." He gives a mock bow. She chuckles and flicks his forehead. "Alright dork, where to now?" "To the arena! You wanted a battle right?" She nods. "Alright, don't expect me to not Gigantimax because you can't." Her Z band seems to tingle and her Keystone shimmers. "No need to worry about that, we have that covered."
