Asta held up his fists in front of his face, sliding his feet back into a fighting stance. It had been two years since he had joined the cadets and he trained hard every single day. No matter what that training was.

Unfortunately, today they were all doing hand to hand combat and he had been paired up with Armin. Armin was his friend and he meant a lot to him but he didn't want to be his partner. Armin still wasn't good with physical activities and if someone was partnered with him, they basically already knew they were going to win.

Asta had to be gentle with him in order not to hurt him. He rushed forward, seeing Armin get into a weak defensive position. He moved his fists forward, making Armin think he was going to hit him but instead he hooked his leg around the other blondes and tripped him over. Armin had hardly anytime to react and Asta caught him before he could hit the ground.

"You had to watch everywhere, Armin. Not just where I'm making the obvious attack." Asta scolded him. This training would do no good against titans. They weren't even getting graded on but it was still something they needed to know.

Armin tilted his head down, his face going red with embarrassment. "I know." He whispered.

Asta sighed and knelt down on the ground. "Come on, get up. We're going again." He was going to try his hardest to give Armin a few pointers.

Armin stood back up with determination. That was something Asta couldn't fault him for. If he were one thing, it was determined. Armin breathed in deep and held up his fists. Asta tsked him and moved closer. "What are you doing?" Armin asked confused as to why he wasn't attacking him.

"I can already see about ten openings to where I can hit you." Asta frowned, grabbing onto Armin's arm and moving it up a bit, moving his other arm into a better position. "Have your arms like this and spread your legs more. The way you're standing, I could easily tackle you down." He instructed, moving his hands down to Armin's legs and pushing them apart.

"H-Hey!" Armin blushed.

"Shut up and do what I say." Asta commanded. Armin shut his mouth and gulped as Asta moved him into a better position. He moved back and looked Armin over. "H-How's this now?" He questioned, not moving an inch from where Asta had positioned him.

Asta nodded his head, putting up his fists. "You're defensive position is good. However, now we have to work on your offence. Never take your eyes off me and don't focus on one part of me." He paused, looking Armin in the eyes. "Let's do this!"

He did the exact same attack as last time, only this time when he went to trip Armin, Armin jumped over his legs. "I did i - " Asta grabbed a hold of his shoulders and flipped him around, kicking him in the back and causing him to fall to the ground again. Armin groaned, his face facing the dirt ground. "That's not fair."
