It was so silent, everyone staring at the situation in shock. The only thing that broke the noise was when a loud rumble was heard. The rumble of the titan carcass slowly moving.

"Maintain your distance! All squads remain alert! It could strike at any time! Artillery crew, get that cannon reloaded!" There were shouts of panic roaming the crowed of soldiers.

Asta lifted his head, looking straight upwards towards the neck of the titan. "Is Eren..." Since the boy had disappeared after biting himself, he could only assume he was in the same place he found him last time.

"I - I only heard them fire their cannon on us and then..." Armin stuttered, his mind not processing what had happened. "And then there was a tremendous crash and a blast of heat. Apparently, we're no in the innards of a giant skeleton."

"Eren did this for us, Armin. That's all we need to understand for now." Mikasa said, as calm as ever. It seemed to calm Armin down enough for him to smile.

"Asta! Armin! Mikasa! Are you alright?" Eren came running from around the back after pulling himself free from the neck.

Asta felt another wave of relief wash over him. "How'd you - "

"I don't know. Look, it's already starting to vaporise. Just like the corpse of a titan." Just as he spoke, Asta looked around, seeing cracks in the bones growing a bright orange. "Let's get out of here."

"Eren, don't go out there!" Asta said with worry as Eren stopped just before the smoke cleared so he was still hidden from the frightened soldiers.

"It's hard to tell if there watching and waiting or just totally dazed but I suppose it doesn't really matter that much either way. I'm sure once the smoke clears they'll resume the attack." Eren said.

Asta scoffed and looked at him as if he were crazy. "Of course their going to attack! Their out of their goddamn minds." He growled out, making Eren sigh.

"And after seeing that. I think we've blown any hope of reasoning with them." Eren held up the key that was tied to a piece of string around his neck. "The cellar... I'm starting to remember. This key, my father said I would have to go back to the house, everything hinged on it. I think it's why he gave me the power to transform. If I can make it back to our cellar, I might remember the titans secrets."

He lifted his hand and smashed it against one of the large bones. "Hey, stop that! Hurting yourself isn't going to solve anything." Asta snapped at him, taking his hand and moving it away from the titan so he couldn't hit it again.

Eren turned to look at him in the eyes. "Why did he keep this stuff secret? How many thousands of scouts already died because my father didn't share this information. It could be the last chance humanity has and the answers been hidden away at our house this entire time. Is he insane? Damn him..."
