Logan's POV
I was just sitting on the island eating some goldfish when I heard the door from the garage shut. I saw my Dad turn the corner in his suit and walk into his bedroom.
"Hey, honey, how was your day?" I mumbled underneath my breath, mocking what I know he was going to say when he walked in.
I sat and scrolled through Instagram and noticed that a lot of people had followed me. It was most likely from where I started school today. My Instagram account is verified and has about half a million followers, but I just follow my friends and people that I know, for the most part.
"Hey kiddo, how was your day today?" Dad said as he walked into the kitchen and kissed my forehead before walking to the refrigerator. He had changed into shorts and a t-shirt, which makes me think he is probably going to the gym and will want me to come with him.
"The first half of the day was filled with "who are you's" and a bunch of nicknames from kids, but the latter half of the day was pretty chill. How was your day at work?" I asked as I put my phone down.
"Nicknames? Like bad stuff?" He asked while putting his hand down on the counter.
"Short stack and D1 is what I am at right now," I said while putting goldfish in my mouth after my statement.
"D1 is a good nickname and will stand out good during basketball season, but I don't know about short stack. You're 5'11, how does that make you short?"
"That's what I said! But who knows, hopefully, it will wear off," I said while picking my phone back up, about to scroll through my Instagram follows to see if I could see anyone familiar.
"You down to go play basketball?" My Dad asked, holding up a water bottle.
"Yeah, let me go change," I said as I slid off the chair and walked towards the steps.

I gave my phone number to Carson before we left school earlier today, and that was a mistake. I had ten text messages from her by the time my Dad and I were done practicing.
