Logan's POV

text messages | Alex (🤠) & Logan (🥇)

Is there any chance I can call
you in a little bit? We need to talk
about something.

Damn D1, you want
to FaceTime already?
But yeah sure, just
lmk when :)

I was getting ready to step in the shower when I read his message, and it made me laugh. He always had jokes all the time, and I liked it, but you have to be able to have a regular conversation sometimes too. I guess that is what this call will see.

After I got out of the shower, I went to my closet to change clothes. I put a bra on quickly because I don't know what will happen on this FaceTime, but when it is over, it is immediately coming off. I slipped on an oversize shirt and didn't bother putting pants on because my legs would be under the blanket anyway.

I was overthinking too much.

I towel dried my hair as best as I could and didn't bother brushing it out because I would be showering again in the morning before school. I put my laptop on my bed and grabbed my phone. I went to the little cowboy icon and hit "FaceTime." He can be caught off guard.

As I was pulling my grey comforter over my legs, I saw that it said "connecting" on my phone.

"I thought I said to message me first, but alright," Alex said as he answered the phone. He was holding a kid who seemed like he was probably about seven.

"Who is that?" The little boy asked as he stared at the phone, looking at my face. I felt a little bit nervous. It must be a younger sibling.

"One of my friends, come on Bud, let's get ready for bed. Logan, I'll be back," he said as he put his phone face down somewhere.

"She's really pretty," I heard the little boy say as they walked away.

"I know she is, I am-" Alex's voice slowly drifted off as he walked away from his phone.

I logged onto my computer while waiting for him to come and pick up the phone again, but I made sure not to make any noise. I didn't want to be that person.

"Alright Logan, what's up," Alex said as he picks up the phone. He was still in the same shirt, but he didn't have a hat on, and his hair was messy at the top where it was longer.

"So, I had to tell my Dad that I would be home later because I am going with you after practice, and he made a condition," I said as I looked at the phone to see his reaction. He was walking through his house, but he laid down on what I assume was his bed, and he looked at me.

"Okay, what is it?" He said while looking at me with his arm behind his head.

"You have to pick me up from my house, not from the school. He said if you didn't, then he wouldn't let me go."

Alex just started to laugh, "Seriously, D1? That's it? He probably just wants to meet me. I mean, you have been to school for one day, and you're already hanging out with someone."

"Well, glad you're not worried about it," I said while looking at him as he laughed again and flashed his straight teeth.

"Oh, loosen up, it will be fine. I'll pick you up at seven then."

"Alright, I'll talk to you later then. I have some school work to do," I said as I looked at the documents on my computer.
