Logan's POV
"When I said 'save a horse, ride a cowboy' I did not mean to do it this fast Logan. It has been two days," Trinity said on the phone.
"I have not ridden anything yet, but what a glorious cowboy he is. Trinity, this man is hot. And he is so sweet. He even opened the truck door for me and everything when no one was even around to see him," I said as I kept my eyes on the road.
"I want a picture right now," Trinity said though the phone, and I could feel her being impatient.
"I am driving to school right now, so no. But are you not in class right now?"
"No, I skipped today. I just wasn't feeling it. And you have texted and driven before, so send it to me, right now," she said, and I could feel her nonchalance through the phone.
"I am pulling into the school parking lot. Hold on you impatient woman," I said as I pulled into my parking spot. I grabbed my backpack and cut my car off before pulling my phone to my ear and stepping out.
"I am so going to be telling Cole that you already have a boyfriend," Trinity said, and I could feel her smirk.
"You will not be doing that. We are not even dating. Why would you do that?" I asked as I looked down and shut my door.
I felt a tap on my shoulder, and Alex was standing there, smiling next to me. The same man that I am currently telling my best friend about.
"So you don't want me to tell Cole that you are going out with an incredibly hot cowboy and possibly-"
She didn't have time to finish what she was saying before I hit the "end call" button.
"What was that about an incredibly hot cowboy?" Alex asked as he leaned against my car.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I said as I turned on my heel and started to walk towards the school.
"So, what about that date?"
"You're going to have to try harder than that," I said as I rolled my eyes. I felt my phone buzzing, and Trinity was calling me again. I declined the call and put the phone in my pocket.
"Alright, you asked for it. Just don't be surprised."
"I would love to see what you come up with," I said as I looked at him. He just looked at me with a raised eyebrow, and we both started laughing.
We walked to our lockers together, but I ended up getting ahead of him and getting to class first. Carson was already there waiting, and she looked like she had something to say by the way she was looking at me.
As soon as I sat down, she turned to me, "Everyone is talking about you, you know."
"Why? What did I do?" I asked as I pulled my phone out of my pocket.
"You went out with Alex," she said with a 'duh' look on her face.
"He just showed me around, and we ate some food. What's so bad about it?" I asked as I turned to her. I wanted to know what her deal was with him and if I could get her to say something to me about liking him.
"It's just interesting. Alex doesn't date. Alex doesn't take girls on "dates" if you could even say that. He smashes and passes," she said as she looked at me with her eyes staring into my soul. She was so bipolar sometimes that, honestly, I didn't even know how to handle her.
I just looked at her and decided to try and end the conversation, "I'm not even that interested in guys right now anyway."
She raised her eyebrow and looked at me, "Mhm, sure, I'll believe it when I see it, new girl."
