When I had walked into the map room, Jack was sitting at the table. He looked at me and smiled. I went to him, smiling back. He got up and turned to me. He put his hands in his back pockets.

"So," He said, raising his eyebrows, "Where are we standing?"

"I, don't know," I chuckled slightly.

He nodded, looking to the floor.

"Hey," I said, and he looked back to me, "What matters is that we'll always be there for each other, right?" I pat his arm and he smirked, nodding.

"Of course," He said, and I nodded.

I breathed out heavily, looking around.

"Do you like me in that way, or not?"

"I do," I looked back to him, "But I'm scared that if we doing anything about it, it'll mess up what we have now."

"I understand," He said, nodding.

I breathed out. "You know that you mean more than anyone else to me, right?" I said, and he looked at me, "You're the reason I'm still alive and fighting, don't think you don't mean anything to me."

"Of course." He said, smiling at me. I smiled.

I did love him. He was probably the best guy I have ever met, but with everything going on, I thought it would be best that we stay just as friends in case anything happened. I didn't want to see him get hurt.

He shifted awkwardly and I breathed out.

"So, here we are once again, just me and you." I said, breaking the silence and he nodded, "Any cases?"

"Uh, I don't know yet," He said, and turned back to his computer.

"Alright, then I'm gonna make some food." I said, and he nodded.

I started walking to the kitchen and I heard paws padding down the hall. I looked and saw Cecania coming down the hall way after me. She came to me as I stopped at the fridge. I kneeled down and she put her paws up on my lap as she licked my face. I pet her.

"Where's Vince, Cecania?" I asked, and she whimpered. I sighed. Damn hellhound can't even speak mentally, "Guess he warded himself pretty good to be hiding even from you."

She kept whimpering as she got off me. I stood up and got into the fridge. I whistled and Henry came walking in. I took out two steaks, one smaller for Cecania and gave them to the two. Henry ate graciously while Cecania just laid down, whimpering.

"Come on, you need to eat." I told her, kneeling down and petting her. She looked down, and whimpered again. I breathed out, "I know, I know," I got up and started making food for me and Jack. I finished and started walking out with the plates.

Jack looked at me as I gave him a plate and sat down with mine.

"Thanks," He said.

"Welcome," I said, taking a bite, "Cecania's not eating."

"She's not with Vince?" He asked, getting a string of melted cheese into his mouth. I shook my head, "Damn," He took another bite and I kept eating. I breathed heavily, "Oh," He said, shifting slightly, "Check this out."

"What?" I asked, looking at the computer.

"Coroner's report," He said, "This guy had a heart attack."

"Okay?" I said.

"He was 26," He said, and I nodded, "Along with a 30 year old woman, 31 year old male, and a 28 year old. Says here the bodies had scratch marks on it, like gashes."
