Tallahassee, Florida...

"No, we don't sell household products," I got out, rubbing my eyes, "That includes toilet paper, Miss."

After a few calls.

"We don't supply with window supplies," I spun in my chair slightly as I went through my computer, "No, we don't," I closed my eyes to calm myself, "Thank you for calling," I hung up and went on with my day.

Another couple calls.

"Miss, you called an hour ago with the same question, and it's still the same answer, we do not sell household products." I said, and she continued to argue with me. I let my head hit the table as I listened to her rambling.

Once my shift was over, I got out and started walking down the street, looking around. I got to my apartment and went in, getting food and I got to the roof, taking out my camera and sitting. I got a few pictures of the sunset and got up, looking around. I set my camera to the side and ate. I went back down to my apartment and dropped onto my bed, going to sleep.

My alarm started going off in the morning and I groaned as I shut it off. I rolled over and fell off my bed. I groaned again against the ground and rolled to my back. I breathed out as I looked at the ceiling and got up.

I stared myself in the mirror after getting ready.

"Alright, Pen, you got this. Today is the day." I told myself, "Today is the day you walk into your boss's office and you tell her,"

I stood in my boss's office and she stared at me.

"What is it you needed, Mr. Abernathy?" She asked.

"I just wanted to tell you, uh," I swallowed, "You're doing a great job, and I wanted to say that," I breathed heavily, "Well," I cleared my throat, my resignation papers in my back pocket, "I," I couldn't get it out and I breathed out, "I think we should be hiring more onto this floor because the calls are piling." I made up, my mouth not listening to my brain.

She nodded, "Thank you for your feedback."

I slumped down into my chair at my desk. I breathed heavily and put my hat on the monitor of my computer and put on my headset, taking a call and resting my arm on the desk and holding my chin up with my hand.

"Well, miss I think what you would need to do is call," I felt something jolt in my head and I couldn't speak as I felt my chest tighten and my head started spinning.

I stared straight, seeing things going through my mind. Pictures of people, and things. There was a guy who looked like leather threw up on him and his eyes were, violet? Then there was a man in an orange hoodie, a man with long neon hair, a guy with a pompadour, and then a woman looked over her shoulder. Her eyes went orange slightly and I saw a flash of a little girl with long black hair and green eyes sitting in an empty room alone, but then people were going to her. I felt like I needed to, find her. I snapped out of it.

"Creatio ex nihilo," I said uncontrollably, and the lady stopped talking. She asked if I was okay and I couldn't respond as she started going on about poor service.

Clarksville, Tennessee...

I stared at my paper, keeping my hands in my pockets.

"Joy?" A woman asked, and I looked to Ms. Freely who had been taking care of me and the other kids, "Someone's here to see you," I got up and went to her, smiling. She smiled back and took me back to the room where adults went to for talking to kids.

I looked in and hesitated slightly when I saw a man with black hair that was standing up and he was dressed in all black. The woman sitting next to him was dressed almost the same, but her hair was long and curly. I felt my smile fade slightly. Something didn't feel okay with these people. The man looked at me and his eyes were dark. I swallowed as Ms. Freely got me to sit across from them. He smiled at me and I felt uncomfortable.
