When Vince hadn't come back in the morning, I wasn't too worried. But when he didn't answer any calls, wasn't in town and his cellphone wasn't giving off a GPS signal, I was starting to get skittish. Guy was also a little worried, but Jack was neutral about it.
Had Vincent left us?
I walked into his room and everything he owned was still there, including his jacket over the back of a chair next to his desk. I picked it up and held it in my hands as I sat on his bed.
"Where the hell did you go?" I asked quietly, rubbing the rough fabric with my thumb.
I held it in my lap and breathed out, shaking my head as I set it on the bed. I got up and went to the doorway. I turned back to the room and put my hand on the light switch. I flipped it off and closed the door.
Everything was going to be the way he left it, other than the jacket, when he got back. If he got back. I looked down the hall and Guy was looking at me.
"Is Vincent coming back?" He asked, and I huffed, looking to the ground and rubbing my neck.
"I don't know," I told him, "I really don't know."
"Okay," He said, nodding, "It's okay," He smiled at me slightly and I smiled slightly back.
"Come on, kiddo," I said, going to him and patting his arm as I walked back to the map room. He followed me back.
6 hours later...
"Yes, a thirty year old male, 6 feet tall, Caucasian, black hair, goatee," I ran down Vince's description again to a hospital, rubbing my eyes.
"No, no patients have that description, I'm sorry," The lady said and I sighed.
"Alright, thanks anyways," I hung up and set down my phone, rubbing my face with both my hands.
"Cas," Jack said, and I looked at him slightly, "It'll be okay, I'm sure he's fine."
"Jack, he's wiped clean, I can't even track him mentally." I told him, putting my hands down.
"Maybe he just wants to be alone."
"The last time he was gone for around this long he was raped and was in a deathly car accident, Jack, sorry for being worried." I said quietly so Guy wouldn't hear.
Jack breathed out and nodded, "Alright, okay, I get it," He looked at me, "I get it, and if anything pops up, we'll know." He told me, and I nodded, "We can find Informers to help us out."
"Okay," I said, breathing out, "Then let's get to it, what Hunters do we know that are still alive, still Hunting actively, and know a good Informer?"
"Scar, Dom," He said the two he knew.
"Your, uh, Dominique is still Hunting? Isn't he like 70?" I asked.
"He's an insane man." He said, and I scoffed, shaking my head.
"Alright, let's find us some Informers," I said, getting up, "I'll ask Dom, you get Scarlet?" He nodded and got out his phone as I left to call Dominique.
I called the number and put the phone to my ear. I leaned on the wall as I listened to the phone ring. I breathed out and shook my bangs out of my face.
"Who the fuck is this?" I heard the old man ask and then it was followed by uncontrollable coughing and hacking.
I waited patiently for it to stop and the breathing to come back to the phone, "Cas Winchester, calling if you know any top notch Informers."
"Well, after you killed off two of the best not sure any Hunter would trust you with any," He started coughing again, "More." More coughing, "You b," He started hacking and I sighed slightly, looking to the side.
