I woke up to feel of my rib popping back into place. I screamed at the pain and looked around the brown wood schemed room, Jack snapping awake and looking at me. I breathed heavily and held my side as it healed. I felt over the sore area.
"Cas?" He asked, coming and sitting on the bed next to me, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I nodded, blinking my eyes, "Rib just popped back."
I grunted slightly as I started sitting up. The wound was still open, I could feel that much. He helped me and I leaned on him. He rubbed my back.
"Thanks," I looked around, "This the German bunker?"
"Yeah," He kissed my head.
"Alright," I nodded, and got off the bed, "Where's the others?" He helped me and we went to the main room with just a wood table in the middle.
Vincent was standing there with his jacket tied around his waist as he looked around. Probably just enjoying being home. Or soaking in the memories. Or thinking of porn. Or anything else Vincent ever thought of that wasn't deep and meaningful.
"Hey, look who's awake." Vincent said, and I just smiled slightly at him.
"You didn't think I'd go down that easy, did you?" I joked.
"Of course not," He crossed his arms, "You're too stubborn to die."
"Right back at you big guy." I told him.
"What happened?" Jack asked, looking at me, "We couldn't heal you, and you weren't healing."
"I don't know," I shook my head slightly, and Guy ran into the room. He hugged me and I winced slightly, "Careful there." I hugged him back as best I could. He held onto me and he was shaking, "Hey, I'm alright." I put a hand under his chin as he let me go, "Don't worry, kiddo." I flicked his chin up slightly and he smiled, wiping his nose.
"You scared me," He told me.
"I was scared too," I looked around at them, "But it's better now."
"We don't know that, Cas," Jack said, and we looked at him, "It took you a while to heal, what if it happens again, but it's worse? You could die."
"Come on, Jacky, since when have I ever let that happen?" I held my side slightly as Guy looked at me worriedly.
"When you tricked Lucifer back into his cage the first time, when you killed Masters, when you tried to kill Mason, almost when you tried to kill Dylan," Jack named off.
"Alright," I stopped him, "Alright. I get it. I have a habit of getting myself into bad situations," I rubbed my eyes slightly, "But that's our job, right? Doing things for the greater good?"
"But if you die, you can't fight for that greater good anymore, Cas." He told me, "You need to keep away from those sorts of things until we figure out what's going on."
"He's right," Vincent spoke up and we looked at him, "Like you've said before. If we're going to get through this, we all need to be at the top of our game, do what we can, stay safe and stay together."
I breathed out and nodded, "Right," I looked back to him, "Never thought I'd be taking advice from you, but you're right."
He shrugged slightly, "You'd do the same for me."
"Well, I'm gonna shower." I told them, and started leaving the room.
"Are you sure?" Jack asked.
"I'll be fine," I assured him, and got into the hallway. I went down one way.
"Other way, fifth to your left," Vincent told me.
