Song: The Ballad of Mona Lisa by Panic! At The Disco
This song has nothing to do with the chapter, it's just so good🤘❤
Also you're eighteen in this imagine and live in a tiny apartment with your older cousin who name is Amy. If you already have a cousin name Amy, change it, do whatever you want.
"Y/n, hurry up! You don't want to be late to your first day of work do you?"
I sighed at my cousin. "No I don't." I work at this record store downtown and I plan on walking since it's only six blocks down. I also need to excercise.
I work in the evenings though until ten. In the morning I work at this diner from seven to two. And them I work at the record store four to ten
It's tough but I have to do everything since I recently moved into a tiny apartment with my older cousin. We're sharing the rent and I take online classes. Eighteen for me is tough, my parents and I don't get along that well so I decided it was time to move.
I put on my sneakers, leaving the house.
The air was chilly for the beautiful fall weather as I walk downtown.
My first day there, it was alright. Although I had complete control of the music since I'm the only employee here for the evening. The manager informed me though that he'll be there once or twice a week.
I chose a song I haven't listen to since I was thirteen, bobbing my head.
I had no customers expecting for this girl with red hair and a nose ring buying a few vinyls.
Once it was closing time I cleaned everything up and locked the doors.
Very few cars were riding by and I walked past this small cafe shop, hearing someone playing the guitar.
I smiled, looking for the direction of the music.
My eyes saw a cute boy my age with purple curly hair playing the guitar.
His voice was raspy and a little off key but I love that.
A man dropped some change into the empty guitar case next to him and I did the same. He gave me a smile that had girls swoon over.
For the next two weeks he was there, everynighy outside that small cafe. I never had the courage to talk to him, only a smile or a nod.
This week though was different, as I was walking off from putting a few dollars in his case, I felt his eyes on me. Instead of looking back and smiling, I kept my head forward.
"You gotta talk to him." Amy says after I got home.
I just got out of the shower and was talking to her. "No, I don't know him."
"I've seen him, he's really cute."
"I'm not going to tall to him!" I told her.
The next day my first job was slow and painful. I dropped a plate, some old lady spilled her hot coffee on me and some man gave me a lousy tip.
