"Meeting you was like an atom splitting. It was catastrophic, beautifully horrific in a way. We never knew life wouldn't be the same after, but it would be a beautiful disaster at the least."

𝓡𝓾𝓼𝓱𝓮𝓭. That was how I felt this morning, I had went through my morning routine quickly so I could get to Elena's early. I had made coffee as it seemed like everyone else was busy getting ready for the day and I desperately needed my coffee in the morning. I could hear someone coming down the stairs so I pulled another cup out of the cabinet. I grabbed the pot and started pouring in the caffeinated drink when Jenna came bounding into the kitchen.
"Do I look adult? As in casually, but still respectfully, parental?"
I turned around to see her dressed up, placing the newly filled cup onto the counter, "Well, I'd say it depends on where you are going."
Jenna gently twists and piles her hair on top of her head, "Jeremey's parent-teacher conference with Tanner. So, what do you think? Hair up or down?"
I hummed as I took her in, "Sexy stewardess."
Jenna let her wavy hair fall down and a new voice answers, Elena's, "Boozy housewife."
Jenna let out a grin as she started to pile the hair on top of her head again, "Well, up it is. You're both feisty today. What's gotten into you two?"
Elena happily accepted the mug full of coffee that I handed to her, "I feel good today, which is, rare. And I've decided to go ahead and enjoy it, but where's Jeremy? Adriana was going to give us a ride to school today."
Jenna was busy perfecting her apperance in the mirror as she replied like it was obvious, "He left earlier this morning. Said something about having to finish a birdhouse for his woodshop class," she then paused, glancing towards us, "There is no woodshop class, is there?"
I gave her a sympathetic smile, "Nope."
She sighed as she walked towards the living room, presumably to grab her belongings to head off towards the conference. If she was having to deal with Tanner, our history teacher, then I wish her the best of luck. He was a complete asshole. I took the last sip of my coffee before putting the mug into the sink.
"It's good to see you so perky, Lena, does it have to do with a certain starry eyed lover?" I questioned, wiggling my eyebrows at her.
She gave me a shy smile before raising the cup to her lips, "I don't kiss and tell, Addie."
I rolled my eyes before grabbing my backpack off the counter, "Yeah, yeah, sure, wait, kiss and tell? Did you guys kiss!"
Elena just rolled her eyes before bumping her shoulder with mine, "We haven't kissed, yet."
"Better make your move soon Elena, don't want Caroline to snatch up your man. Or me, for that matter."
She laughed, and we headed out of the house locking the door behind us. We were walking to my car when a large crow cawed and flew above us making me break out into goosebumps. I scurried over to the car and got into my dark gray vehicle as Elena followed, moving to sit in the passenger seat. I had an odd feeling about today, like something big was going to happen but I wasn't sure what exactly.
Soon I was standing in the hallway with Bonnie and Caroline after our amazing class with Tanner. I loved history, but having to deal with Tanner as a teacher made me start to loathe the class. He thankfully never called on me because I would always give a smart-ass response along with the right answer. After making that mistake one too many times, he's learned to bother other students. I saw Stefan and Elena stopping to talk in the hallway, he was holding out a book for her. I grinned to myself, they would make a cute couple.
