"Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Sometimes in life hope is all that we have left, and when it get's destroyed a piece of our soul is taken with it. It's never easy to let go, but I'm afraid my dear that we must."

𝓓𝓻𝓪𝓶𝓪. It was something I didn't enjoy at all, but it seemed like it was a must while in high school. After Vicki had been staked and killed by Stefan, I ended up staying the night at Elena's. I didn't feel like going home covered in blood not knowing what to say to my brother. I couldn't face him so soon after watching his new fling shrivel up and die after she tried to drain me of my blood. Of course, by now it had been going around town that Vicki had just up and left town, but little did they know that was a lie.
I had woken up this morning after staying with Elena, and I was amazed that my bite marks had magically healed themselves. It wasn't until I saw the blood upon my lips did it occur to me that one of the Salvatore brothers must have given me their blood to heal me. I was honestly a little bit creeped out at the thought of one of them giving me their blood while I slept, but I appreciated not having to worry about covering up the hideous bite mark and bruises.
The day had gone by so fast, and I had to admit I was quite annoyed when we were all dragged into the Sheriff's office to be interviewed on Vicki's sudden 'trip'. I was really not in the mood to deal with it, but I couldn't exactly not tell her our made up story. Then after returning to Elena's house Bonnie decided to rip open Elena's pillow and levitate the feathers that were packed inside. I fell off the bed in shock, which resulted in me hitting my head and giving myself a headache.
Then Caroline called me demanding that I attend her party that she was hosting tonight, and I quickly agreed. It was better not to argue with Caroline, and after heading home to get ready I got a call from Elena. After she had broken up with Stefan earlier today, she decided to go see him to reconcile and she walked in on a blonde girl walking around with a towel on. Talk about awkward. So here I was sitting at the bar of the Grill as the party raged on around me. I was sipping on my alcoholic drink, I desperately needed it after what has happened the past twenty-four hours.
The stool beside me was pulled out as someone sat down, "Bourbon."
I looked over and groaned as I saw who it was, "Oh, it's you."
Damon smirked, "Princess, good to see you."
"Wish I could say the same." I rolled my eyes as I took a long sip of my drink.
Damon placed a hand over his heart, "Ouch, and here I thought we were friends."
I laughed, "I wouldn't exactly use that term, Damon."
Damon opened his mouth to reply but another voice cut us off, "Damon, don't you have better places to be than hitting on women who obviously aren't going to fall for your charm?"
I looked over and saw a beautiful blonde woman standing there glaring at Damon. Damon scowled before slamming his glass of bourbon, he was not happy. Great, I thought, I did not want to put up with his crappy attitude.
"Where's my brother?" He asked, still scowling at the woman.
She rolled her eyes, "He said he would meet me here."
Damon then grinned, "Hey, let me buy you a drink."
She scoffed and turned away from him now looking at me, "You look familiar, do I know you?"
