"Betrayal is the very thing that could break someone's soul and there is no bigger betrayal then someone saying 'I Love You' but never acutally meaning it. Betrayal can either drag you to the deepest depths of dispair or it could ignite a fire within you. Let it do neither."

𝓘𝓶𝓹𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰. Defined as, "about to happen," perfectly described how I felt this morning when I awoke. My face was buried deep into the plush pillow, but I could feel it in my gut. Something was going to happen today. Damon was nowhere to be seen so I grabbed one of his many t-shirts and put it on as I slid on my well-loved jeans that I had worn yesterday. I had gone downstairs and made myself breakfast noting how quiet the boarding house was. It was almost...eerie.

I was sitting on the couch eating my French toast when Damon appeared out of nowhere sitting beside me as he tossed a sketchpad onto the table in front of me. I had yelled at him for a good minute about how he needed to stop poofing in out of nowhere, he was seriously going to give me a heart attack one of these days. He just rolled his eyes and grabbed my plate from my hands, putting it onto the table. While he then placed the sketchpad and set of expensive colored pencils into my hands.

When I questioned why he was giving me this, he said that it was just a gift. Well, sort of, he stole it from Stefan's room and decided that I would put it to better use. I had wanted to question him how he knew I loved to sketch, but then I remembered he had been in my room before where it was littered with my different art displays. And that's how we spent our morning, my feet were in Damon's lap while he looked through the grimoire while I sketched.

Stefan rushed into the room with an anxious expression on his face, "Anna took Elena."

My eyebrows furrowed as I looked up, "What?"

Damon didn't bother looking up as he continued to leaf through the grimoire, "I got that from your hundreds of voice mails."

"Damon, seriously, I've been out all night long searching every single street in this town. What if your blood hasn't passed through Elena's system yet?" Stefan questioned; his face etched with worry.

"Well, at least you know you will see her again," Damon replied, I leaned forward and slapped his arm.

Stefan sighed coming to sit on the couch across from us, "Please. What do you two know? You both were with Anna; you must know where she is living. Just tell me where I can find her."

"She's staying in a motel, it's right off of hick-ouch!" I scowled as Damon pinched my leg, cutting me off.

Damon gives me a look of warning before turning his attention to Stefan, "No can do. You can go. Really."

"All I can remember is hating you, there may have been a time where that was different but your choices, your actions, have erased any good you might have had in you," Stefan spoke, Damon tossed down the grimoire giving him his full attention, "But you see, I also know that you have just as much reason to hate me as I do you. This all began with me, Katherine got taken away from you because of me. And for that, I'm sorry."

Damon nodded, "Apology accepted."

"So, please, tell me what you know." Stefan looked at him pleadingly, before turning his eyes onto me.

I sighed and went to move my legs off of Damon's lap to go with Stefan, but he gripped my legs preventing me from moving, "Damon." I hissed.

Damon just looked at him unamused, "I don't think so, brother."
