~ Chapter 6: Sam. ~
I was woken up by my ring tone, taking me off my dreams. God, there was nothing that I hated more than to be woken up by a ringing sound! I grabbed my phone anyway and tapped the answer button, already eager to close my eyes back.
“Hello?”
“Look, if you didn’t want to come, then you should have said so but standing me up is really not cool!”
Oh my god! I looked at my clock and realized it was already eight.
“I’m so sorry! I fell asleep!”
“Is that your best excuse?”
“I swear! I had a Harry Potter marathon last night and day and I was exhausted so I fell asleep. I’m sorry.”
“Well, I’m still in the park. You’re coming?”
I was about to say I couldn’t but thought it was already wrong to have stood him up so I agreed to meet him and got dressed in less than a minute before getting going. The park wasn’t too far away so I met him about ten minutes later. He was playing on his phone or texting someone, but stopped when he saw me.
“Hi”. I said. “Again, I’m sorry.”
“I guess we’re even now. I scared you, you stood me up…”
I shrugged. It was really cold and I hadn’t thought about taking a jacket with me. The guy (whose name I didn’t remember) saw it and lent me his coat that he passed on my shoulder. I thanked him and sat next to him. I tried really hard to remember his name and finally had the brilliant idea to look into my phone. He had written his phone number so he was obviously in my contact list. Why hadn’t I think of that before?! I was probably too exhausted to think. Hurray! Sam. His name was Sam. Relived, I spoke a little and asked him to tell me a little more about himself. We got to know each other and I noted that we hit it off pretty good. And I regretted having been a little aggressive earlier cause he was… really hot. The kind of guy you’d sure want in your bed. And it wasn’t like I was playing the difficult or anything. You couldn’t do that if you were me. I mean, I wasn’t completely ugly but I wasn’t as beautiful as Katie or as hot as Jenny. I guess I was kind of an average girl. So I didn’t get to be really picky, and certainly not when the guy standing next to me was hot as hell and trying to know more about me. It was pretty rare that I had the attention of a guy. I had always made the first move. But Sam was trying to take an interest in me. And I had to admit that it felt pretty good.
It’s only when my phone buzzed that I realized it was already almost midnight. We had been talking for hours! Sam insisted on walking me home and I let him cause I liked his laugh and because I didn’t want this night to end. When we got in front of my house, I was about to say goodbye to Sam but he didn’t leave me enough time to talk that he was already kissing me. My heart skipped a beat. I kissed him back and it lasted for a pretty long time. It was a very very good first kiss. I mean, not my first ever kiss, but my first kiss with Sam. When he eventually pulled back, I tried to calm my heart, beating really fast and I was glad he had kissed me during night cause I know I was blushing a lot right now. Luckily, there wasn’t enough light for him to see it.
“Well…” I said, a little shook up.
“Well…”
“I’ll see you…”
“I’ll call you.” Sam said in the same time.
“Good. Ok.”
He laughed and put a strand of my hair behind my ear. I felt electrifying vibes all around my body.
