~ Chapter 37: Learn my first cooking recipe. ~(A/N: Hey guys! Just one chapter for today because it makes more sense to do it that way and this is one of my favorite chapters in the book so I hope you'll like it too :) As usual, good reading and don't forget to vote/comment! <3)

We went back home after having visited around New York the day after. Jenny had had to go back to college unfortunately and Seth was still working on his band. Well, at least he was persistent. I had been writing all night on my book and was very tired when I realized it was already morning but it had been worth it. I was close to the end now and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my characters. Damon kept asking me if he could read it but I refused every time. I would only let him when it'd be finished, not anytime before that. I just hoped I would finish it in time. Bad thoughts are not good, Leah, keep thinking happy things. I didn't want to have another one of those nervous breakdowns.
I slept for a few hours after checking on Damon than went over to his house, the notebook in my hands. We still had some things to do on the list that required traveling but I needed to know if Damon could afford it first.
I found him on his couch, shirtless, sleeping in front of the TV that was still turned on and I recognized one of the Star Wars movie playing. I paused it and sat at the table in the kitchen. I didn't want to wake him up. I don't think he was in pain too much when he was sleeping and the reality of everything couldn't really affect him when he was so it was better to just let him sleep when he did.
He woke up an hour later and stretched then smiled at me.
"What are you doing?" He asked with his sexy raspy deep voice of when he had just woken up.
"Writing. I brought the notebook with me, want to see if there's anything we can do today?" I asked.
I got up to give it to him and he flipped through the pages. It was scary to see most of the thing were already ticked, more than half of them, which meant time was running out too. Happy thoughts, Leah, happy thoughts! Looking at his bare chest did the trick and I smiled to myself.
"How about Learn my first cooking recipe?" He proposed.
"We should probably have a fireman in the house then."
"Oh come on, I'm not that bad!"
I didn't answer so he pretended to be offended and pouted, which made me laugh.
"Ok! I'll help you but if you set the house on fire, you'll have to be the one to convince Jenny to let you move in officially."
"Deal. I practically already live over there anyway and she loves me."
I smiled and went in the kitchen with him.
"What recipe do you want to do? Sweet or salty?" I asked, opening the fridge, which was almost empty.
"How about crepes?" He proposed. "The ones we ate in Paris were so good! I bet we could find a nice French recipe on the Internet."
"We should probably go buy some groceries first, you have practically no ingredients."
"Ok. I'll go get dressed then."
I almost said "Please don't" but restrained myself and he went up to put on a shirt. Ugh, why was I so obsessed with his chest?! He came back clothed and we left the house to go to the supermarket. We bought everything we needed then went back and printed out the recipe. It didn't seem to be that hard to do.
