~ Chapter 12: Fly first class and ride jet skis. ~
After a few days, Damon and I decided to move out of here. We had an argument on who would pay for the plane tickets and everything that we would need (like an hotel room, the food, the gas etc) and Damon got the last word. He would pay for everything. He told me he had a lot of money and that he didn’t need it, he was going to die and he couldn’t take bills in his grave with him. The violence of those words made me cry a little but after a long hug and some candies to cheer me up, I stopped. I know, I’m awful, I’m supposed to be cheering him up and not the opposite, but, what do you want, I’m weak. The thought of loosing him just takes every strength I could possibly have.
I surrendered and let Damon have the last word. I mean, in some way he was right. But then I asked him if he wasn’t going to pass any money to his family but he told me they didn’t need it and that he would act selfish for this year cause it was the last he had. I agreed with him so the argument was over and we started looking for plane tickets to leave as soon as possible.
So here we were, in the airport, waiting for the boarding. We both had our suitcases registered and we just had to wait for an hour until we could go in the plane and finally get out of here. It was really exciting and we were pumped as hell. We had chose to start with Hawaii to see the sun and to enjoy the beach. It was going to be awesome! I knew it. Of course, I had the list in my bag. There was a lot we had to do there so we hadn’t booked the ticket to go back cause we didn’t know how much time we’d need.
I had to leave the house to Seth and he promised to be careful and not to have a Project X party while I would be gone. Jenny said she would call and check on him for me while I was away so that I wouldn’t have to pay expensive calls.
You’re probably wondering what happened to Katie and why Damon is leaving without her and to that, all I can answer is: that’s a very good question to which I don’t have any responses. I had asked Damon a few days ago some news of Katie and he had just told me that she wouldn’t come to Hawaii. But that we’d still go, of course. I didn’t ask more cause, again, it wasn’t any of my business and I knew that Damon had said he would be selfish for his last year so maybe he had thought he wouldn’t just not go to Hawaii because his girlfriend wasn’t going to go with him.
I decided to go see what was offered in the different shops in the airport while waiting for the boarding so I told Damon I would be right back. He had checked with his doctors at the hospital and since there wasn’t anything they could do anyways, they had given the green light for it.
In the third shop I went to, I found exactly what I was looking for. I paid for it then went back to my place next to Damon and showed it to him. It was a sort of app you could download on your phone with the code I had bought. And it was to learn how to speak French. Exactly what we needed. Damon was really happy and started downloading it to be able to listen to it on the plane.
Finally, it was time to board so we did and got settled in the plane. And in the first class of course! It was part of the list. Fly first class. We didn’t check it right away and decided to do it while we’d land. The plane took off and Damon and I put on our headphones to start learning some French. I have to say, traveling first class is purely awesome! I think going back to the normal class will be hard after that. We were so comfortable we had trouble believing we were even in a plane. We practiced some phrases orally and we managed to say a few things correctly so we were pretty proud of ourselves. We couldn’t check it off the list cause we still had a lot to learn and we had to use it at least once.
