ALLY put the yellow folders beside the white folders in her Boss' table. She went to the pantry and prepared another cup of coffee. She could foresee that this will be another long discussion.
"Is that the report from Team Echo?" Era asked when she get back to the office. The woman must be in the rest room from a while ago.
She nodded. "It was a full report of their latest assignment."
"I see two folders only."
The tall woman was busy browsing the documents in her table whilst inquiring. Typical of her.
"The other two remain unfinished."
"Which one?"
"The Andalusia and Mayfield."
Miss James stopped reading and looked at her. A scowl visible in her face.
"Why?"
"The person behind Andalusia's case hides well while the one in Mayfield, she has connections."
"Who?"
"The judge is a family friend."
"Tell the team leader of Echo to dig deeper. I want that woman behind bars the soonest time possible. And give the Andalusia case to Team Bravo."
"Yes, ma'am."
A short silence intercede between them as her boss returned to reading. A page later, Era asked.
"Did you get the progress report on Lucinda's Tower?"
She swallowed the invisible lump in her throat. "No, ma'am. The project engineers was not able to send reports as of yesterday. I checked with their department this morning. The head engineer of Lucinda's did not show up in the office."
"Who is our partner in this project?"
"Turner Builders."
"Call the head engineer."
Ally dialed the number of the said engineer in her mobile phone. The call has been accepted after three rings. She gave the phone to her boss.
"This is Era. I need your progress report before six today."
The phone was back to her after that. She heard a nervous 'Yes, Miss James' on the other line before she ended the call.
"Who's in-charge of the project in Turner's?"
"Engineer Henry Turner."
After hearing the name, Era stopped reading. She close the folder and put it aside.
"How many projects do we have with the Turner's?"
"This is the second one. The first project was the Bela Casa in Kenmore."
"It was the old man who spearhead the Bela Casa." Ally nodded. "Don't go home until that report reach my table."
"Noted, Miss James."
"Call Dan. We're visiting the site."
