I caught hold of her and tried to explain what happened inside, but she wasn't ready to listen.
"Agar tum Kate se hi pyaar karte the, toh you should've told me! Atleast mujhe ghalat impression toh na dete! Mujhse itni nazdeekiyan na badatein!", she said.
"Amna! Meri baat toh suno", I said, holding her hand, while she struggled to let go.
"Kya bolna baaki reh gaya ab? Haan? Besharam, let go off my hand!", she yelled. Her eyes were red, and tears were flowing down both her eyes.
Everyone around us were staring at us, which made the whole situation even more uncomfortable for me.
"Yahan aao...", I took her to the side, while the rest of the people continued back to whatever they were doing.
"What you saw in was-", she didn't even let me complete my sentence.
"I don't wanna listen! Let me go!", she struggled, moving her wrists left to right, and I finally let go.
She turned around and started walking away from me.
"Amna! Tumhe jo samjh na hai who samjho, but I just want to let you know that mere aur Kate ke beech na kuch tha, na kuch hai aur na kabhi kuch hoga! She tried kissing me but I didn't even let her kiss me!", I said, as a tear rolled down my cheek.
She stopped.
Did she hear me? Amna, turn around if you heard me! Turn around!
"Aur haan, aaj ke baad don't even try to contact me! We don't exist for each other!" she said, turning around. I could see the anger in her eyes.
Amna please don't do this to me. Your tears, show me that you love me too, but please don't let this stupid thing come in between us.
No! I wasn't going to let this happen. Her tears were a proof that she loved me back. I had been waiting for it, and now, finally, when I know it for sure, she was drifting away from me? No I couldn't let this happen.
Bhaag Shehry Bhaag! Aaj nahi toh fir kabhi nahi. Yeh mauka firse nahi milega! Don't let her go away from you. Not now!
I threw my bag on the floor, and ran as fast as I could, towards her. Caught her, turned her around, and hugged her. Hugged her for the very first time. My heart was beating the fastest it had ever beaten, as I hugged her tightly against my chest. I could feel her heart beat fast too. She was probably shocked at this moment. She probably didn't know what was going on.
After about two minutes of hugging, I finally let go. I placed my hands on her shoulders, while she looked at me full of anger, with tears in her eyes. Her eyes were bloodshot red. I raised my hands, held her face and wiped away her tears with my thumbs, while the rest of my fingers were on the sides of her face.
"Amna! I only love you and nobody else! Do you understand? I didn't kiss Kate! She tried to but I didn't let her!", I told her, looking straight into her eyes. "My heart only belongs to you, and nobody else!"
"Do you think I'm stupid? First you kiss Kate,a and now you hug me in front of so many people? I know what kind of a person you are!", she said taking my hands off her shoulders, "Tumhare jaise bohot dekhe hain maine! You'er just a player Shehryaar! You played with my feelings, gave me a hint that youlike me, aur ab when im sure about my feelings, you decided to kis Kate?! You think you're so famous, you can do whatever you want?"
"Bu-bu-but Amna, I didn't-", I couldn't even complete my sentence, because she cut me off saying, "I know what you're going to say. You didn't kiss Kate right? I'm not dumb Shehryaar! I saw it with my own eyes."
