Shadow and Sonic avoided eye contact with each other, feeling a bit odd after what had happened earlier. Tails had forced Shadow to stay at the house until he was fully healed. Sonic had called their friends earlier, telling them Shadow was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Only if Sonic believed the lie he was spilling out to the others.

Currently The three of them we're watching a movie, they just picked a random movie off Netflix, having no idea what it was about. The movie started to get a bit scary, kinda frightening the ebony hedgehog, not being very fond of horror movies.

Tails and Sonic loved these types of movies, and would have never have expected Shadow to hate these movies. Tails hadn't noticed Shadow looking frightened, and so hadn't Sonic, until he looked over to the ebony hedgehog, who had his ears pinned down, and a sorta frightened face.

"Are you okay?" Sonic whispered to Shadow, Tails not hearing the blue hedgehog, being too focused on the movie.

Shadow nodded slowly, looking down at the floor, not liking the current scene on the screen. Sonic felt bad for Shadow, wanting to comfort him, but he kept his distance, nodding back to Shadow, and regaining his focus back to the movie.

After a hour or so the movie ended, and Shadow was surely glad of that, not liking the movie one bit. It was getting dark out, everyone getting pretty tired. Well besides Shadow, the first time he's actually rested was when he past out in the middle of the forest.

Sonic lead the ebony hedgehog to the guest room, Shadow kept his ears pinned down, as he followed Sonic to the room. "My room is right across the hall if you need anything. Goodnight Shadow, get some rest." Sonic said, as he smiled at Shadow.

Shadow looked back at Sonic, with no emotion on his face, and nodded. Sonic sighed and lowered his ears, shutting Shadows door to give him privacy. As soon as Sonic left, Shadow broke down into tears, as he did almost every night. Shadow was broken, and he felt as if he could never be fixed.

Shadow walked over to the guest bed, with tears falling down his face, he sat down at the edge of the bed, looking down at his arms. He wanted to cut, he wanted to see the blood flow from his arm, to him, cutting was like another way of relieving the pain, until he came back to reality.

Shadow knew that he shouldn't cut, but who's gonna stop him? No ones has ever found out, I mean there was close calls but he's always came up with a believable excuse.

Shadow thoughts began to get more gruesome, as he continued staring at his arms, as tears continued to flow down his face. "No one needs me here anyways, I'd be better off dead. I could just end it all, end my suffering, and everyone else's, they wouldn't have to worry about me anymore, they would be more happy with out me anyways." Shadow thought to himself.

Sonic had noticed Shadows lights were still on, Sonic usually had his door shut, but he had them opened just Incase Shadow has needed him. Sonic slowly walked towards Shadows room, and hesitated on knocking on his door, not knowing if he had just slept with the light on or what. Soon the lights had turned off, and Sonic shrugged, walking back to his room.

Shadow turned off his lights, not wanting to be a bother to Sonic and Tails. Shadow finally laid down on the bed, and stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep with the thoughts that were racing his head.

Sonic was unable to sleep as well, worried about Shadow. Sonic couldn't stop thinking about the way Shadows been acting, he felt so cold when he was around Shadow, he felt as if Shadow was hiding something from him. It bothered Sonic to the fact he ended up back at Shadows door, he slowly opened the door, hoping Shadow was sleeping.

Shadow heard someone walking in, and started to panic a little, quickly getting under the blankets, and closing his eyes, acting as if he was sleeping, hoping Sonic wouldn't look at his face and notice the wet fur under his eyes.

Sonic could see a little in the room, from the moon reflecting its light into the room. Shadow was facing Sonics way, with his eyes closed. Sonic quietly walked up to the ebony hedgehog, thinking he was sleeping, and sighed. He noticed a few tears that was rolling down Shadows cheeks, and felt heartbroken. He gently wiped his tears with his thumb, staring at the ebony hedgehog face.

Shadow felt his tears be wiped, and felt odd, never in his life thought this would happen. He started to feel his heart flutter once again, and blushed, lucky for him Sonic couldn't see his blush.

Sonic looked one last time at the ebony hedgehog, before leaving his room, leaving Shadows door open this time.

Shadow noticed his door was open, and continued to fake his sleep. "I wonder why Sonic left my door open?" Shadow thought to himself, as his gruesome thoughts slowly faded away.
