LONELY- 10

It was merely almost the end of the week, Shadow still hasn't awakened yet but his body was in better condition then before.

Shadow body was healing at rapid rates, which was a good thing. Sonic stayed by Shadow side for the whole week, refusing to leave for anything.

Shadow was now able to breathe without the help of the machine, which got Sonic a little excited. If Shadow didn't need the machine to breathe, that means he was in way better condition, and that he might wake up soon.

Shadow started to stir around a little on his hospital bed, Sonic realized that he was starting to move a bit and kept his eyes on Shadow, as he held one of his hands.

Sonic felt his hand be squeezed back, as the ebony hedgehog opened his eyes, looking confused. Sonic eyes widened seeing Shadow was awake, and smiled ear to ear.

Shadow looked back, very much confused on how the hell he was alive, and when in the hell did he get here.

"Shadow, how are you feeling?" Sonic asked, as he continued to hold the other hedgehog hand.

"Fine." Shadow replied, his voice sounding a bit raspy from not using it for so long.

Sonic smiled and nodded. "That's good, better then nothin eh?" Sonic said with a sheepish smile.

Shadow was ultimately confused, he was wondering what in the hell had gotten into Sonic. He's never seen him like this before, it was a little odd.

Sonic didn't want to bring up what had happened before, he didn't want to crush the mood. He knew Shadow was probably very confused on what was going on, but he didn't want to tell Shadow anything at the moment.

Shadow looked down and noticed him and Sonic were holding hands, he didn't let go though, he just kept his hand there, holding Sonics hand.

Shadow finally decided to ask, letting his curiosity get the best of him. "Hey Sonic, what had happened?" Shadow asked, as he looked into Sonic big emerald green eyes.

Sonic let out a small sigh, and looked back into Shadow crimson red eyes. "I managed to get you here just in time before it was to late, you've been out for the last few days, your body recovered quickly though." Sonic spoke, as he continued looking into his eyes.

Shadow sighed and looked down. "Look, I'm really sor-" Shadow began speaking, but got interrupted by Sonic, smashing his lips against his, giving him a passionate kiss.

Shadow eyes widened for a moment, then he slowly closed his eyes, and melted into the kiss. Sonic put his arms around Shadows neck, as Shadow placed his hands on Sonics hips.

They continued kissing with great passion, keeping up with each other's pace. Sonic moaned into the kiss softly, feeling Shadows hands on his hips.

They continued making out for a few more minutes, until they both needed air desperately. They pulled away from each other, as they panted a little bit from the lack of air.

They looked into each other's eyes, speechless. Sonic blushed a little, as they stared at each other, having no words to say.

Sonic then smiled at the ebony hedgehog, who surprisingly smiled back, having an beautiful smile, that made Sonics smile widen.

"You have a beautiful smile, your should smile more often." The azure hedgehog spoke, with a smile of his own, blushing a little at the words he just said.

"Well, you gave me a reason to smile." Shadow said, as he grabbed Sonics hand once again, still looking him in the eyes.

Sonic blushed, as he stared back into Shadows eyes. They stared at each other for a while, not saying a single word, until Shadow broke the silence.

"I love you." Shadow said quietly, as he looked at the blue hedgehogs emerald green eyes with the smile.

Sonic blushed, and smiled back. "I love you too."

Shadow smiled widened, hearing Sonic say it back. He felt his heart flutter, feeling a great sense of happiness over come his body.

Sonic wasn't lying when he said he loved the ebony hedgehog, he's always loved him, he just thought Shadow didn't return the feelings.

The funny thing is, Shadow had thought the same thing Sonic had thought. Shadow had thought the azure hedgehog didn't return the feelings he had.

Oh how they were both very wrong, only to now find out they shared the same affection toward each other. Neither of the two hedgehogs had imagined this ever happening.

Shadow and Sonic both felt like this was a dream, and that is couldn't possibly be reality. This was a dream come true for both of the hedgehogs.

Sonic was so thankful at the moment that he had managed to save Shadow in time, it was worth everything to him, to get to see Shadows smile, to get to have him as his first kiss.

Shadow was so thankful the he was managed to be saved in time, he didn't realize how much he could have missed out as if his plan had actually worked. He was so great full to be given a second chance at life, he couldn't have wished for anything more.

All Shadow wanted was Sonic, and all Sonic had wanted was Shadow. Shadow didn't feel alone anymore, he now knew what it was liked to have someone.

So I guess we can all say that Shadow isn't very much lonely anymore, because a new chapter has begun in Shadows life, and that new chapter begins with Sonic.
