LONELY- 9

Sonic ran to Shadow body, tears forming in his eyes, he got him off the tree and put him gently on the ground.

"Shadow!" He cried out, as he tried to feel a pulse, but there was absolutely nothing, no heart beat to be felt.

He felt tears flow down his face as he shook shadows body. "Please wake up! I'm begging you." Sonic cried, as he pleaded.

Rouge was still on the ground, in tears. She was praying this was all just a horrible nightmare, but it wasn't.

Sonic sobbed as he tried everything to get Shadow back. "Please! I need you! I'm sorry!" Sonic cried out.

His cries and pleads fell upon death ears. Shadows lifeless body stayed still, no longer able to move. No breaths, no noise, no movement. Just nothing.

"I'm so sorry Shadow, I wish I could go back in time and prevent this. I love you so much, I was just as scared to admit everything. I thought you hated me, I didn't know anything you felt. I'm so sorry, just please come back." Sonic cried, tears flowing down his face.

One of his tears managed to land on Shadow, which caused his body to twitch. Sonic looked at him, seeing his body twitch. Sonic grabbed shadow wrist as tears flowed down his face and felt for a pulse, there was a faint thump.

Sonics eyes widened, and looked down at the Ebony hedgehog. "Rouge! H-he has a pulse! It isn't to late!" Sonic yelled as he picked up Shadow.

Rouge ear twitched to Sonic voice and looked up at him, her make up all messed up from sobbing. "H-he dose?" The bat asked, as he looked at Shadow.

"Yes! We need to get to the hospital!" Sonic said, as he looked down at Shadow.

"Go without me, I'll be there soon, just run." The white bat rouge commanded, as he stood up from her knees.

Sonic nodded, and made one last look at her, before speeding off with Shadow in his arms. The azure hedgehog ran as fast as he could, not wanting to be too late.

Sonic hoped his thoughts were correct about the ebony hedgehog, he wanted this nightmare to be over, he wanted to be able to tell Shadow how he felt. Sonic soon arrived to the hospital and ran in quickly.

"I need help!" Sonic yelled as he ran in.

The nurses seen the lifeless figure in Sonics hands and rushed over, quickly getting shadow into a room, once they did, then got him on a breathing machine, they made Sonic wait out in the waiting room.

Sonic protests were unheard, as he was stuck in the waiting room, praying and hoping Shadow would survive.

The doctors rushed to Shadows room to help, they did everything they could to get Shadows heart rate back to a steady pace.

Soon Rouge arrived at the hospital, and seen sonic sitting by himself. The white bat went and sat next to Sonic, not saying a word. She looked down at the ground and prayed that Shadow would make it.

After several attempts to get Shadow back on track with his heart rate, doctors finally seen improvement in his hearts pace.

Shadow started breathing at a steady pace again, his once lifeless body, now full of life, his body began working to heal itself, luckily he didn't take off his rings before hand other wise he'd be hopelessly unable to be saved.

One doctor walked out of Shadows room and walked out to the waiting room, and went to Sonics and Rouge. The doctors kept a straight face, as he walked to Sonic and Rouge.

Sonic and Rouge looked worried by the doctors face, thinking something went wrong, or that he didn't make it.

"Is he okay?" Sonic asked, as he looked at the doctor in fear.

The doctor nodded, and smiled. "He's okay now, he's now breathing at a good steady pace, and you two may go visit if you would like." The doctor spoke, unable to finish his sentence to the blue hedgehog, because he had already ran out, going to Shadows room.

Sonic ran into Shadows room with tears of joy, seeing he was okay. Sonic walked up to Shadows hospital bed and held his hand.

"I'm so glad you're okay." He mumbled as he looked at the ebony hedgehog.

Rouge sighed in relief, glad her best friend was okay. She decided to let Sonic and Shadow have there time alone, she did after all hear Sonics confession.
