🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 5, 2014

Liam didn’t talk to me since my ‘revenge’. He never spared me a glance as we worked, he didn’t let his hand graze by back in a flirty matter – basically, he ignored my presence completely. After work, as we headed to the dressing rooms, Fae cheered me on about finally getting Liam off my back – I had complained to her various times in these past couple days about how infuriating Liam was and I technically only met him two days ago – and for some reason, I wasn’t as happy as I thought I would be.

I had arrived home later than usual, because after changing back into my normal clothes, I had wondered around the mall with hands jammed into my jacket pocket and continuous thoughts. Liam had actually went into the stalls to change. Did I actually feel kind of bad about what I pulled on him?

Fate thought so, and she teased me about it nonstop – sometimes I regret having her be my best friend, the person that I tell everything – saying that I totally “fancy” (a British word she looked up to mean ‘like’) him. I think she’s ludicrous.

The following day, I was woken up by Fate blasting Adele. I had grumpily stomped out of my room and asked what the hell she thought she was doing. She replied, “What? I’m just inspiring you to catch a ride on the Payne Train” – I regret telling her his last name “ – this is his people, you know, maybe it’ll get you in the mood.” She was implying sex.

I honestly dread befriending her that one day in high school.

The teasing lasted until I finally turned my phone off – Fate thought it was necessary to spam me –, leaving it in my locker as I grabbed my clothes and headed to the stalls with costume in hand.

Joe was finally back, explaining that he was mildly sick and didn’t want to risk getting us or the kids sick.  I was honestly happy that he was back because then there wouldn’t be tension – no, not sexual tension – between Liam and I if I had to stand in Joe’s place but I was kind of upset as well because I’ve already tried to talk to Liam three times. And all three times, he’d emerge into a conversation with Joe. I may seem mean at times, but I would never cut off someone’s conversation.

“So your boyfriend is ignoring you, huh?” Fate questioned that afternoon after I ranted during dinner, my glare set on the spaghetti in front of me that was barely even touched. I had told her how the whole day was spent, me trying to talk to Liam and him ignoring my existence.

I glared at her in response.

She twirled the pasta around her fork before shrugging. “I think you deserve a few days of ignoring.”

“How can you be on his side?” I ask incredulously with a disbelieving look. “You’re the one who told me to do it.”

“I never told you to do, I just mentioned it,” she replied before popping the last meatball into her mouth.

   “Same difference.”

“You just hate that he’s ignoring you because you have a crush on him!” Fate sing-songed as she placed her empty plate in the sink before turning to give me a disapproving look as my plate was still full. “Blake and Liam sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G first comes love then – Oh my God, I just realized that your ship name will be Lake! That is so cute! I ship it so hard!”

   Kill me now.

(A/N): Liam wasn’t in the chapter very much because hey, it’s Fate’s time to shine with her teasing side – see, even though she threw Blake out in thirty-degree weather she’s still a great person, I love her so much. Plus, she’s a #Lake shipper so she’s pretty cool.

Please vote, fan, comment – lick a tomato because why not?
