🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 7, 2014
Throughout the day, Liam had felt the need to remind me and tell everyone around him – the occasional kid from time to time – that I ‘liked’ him. Which, I believe is still untrue but Liam would think differently. I mean sure, when we were in close proximity, my heart would beat out of my chest but that means nothing because other than that, I can barely stand the boy. Sure, I don’t mind his flirting ways but now he’s taken it into extremes that even Fae thought that we were a thing.
When the work day had ended, Liam followed me to where I parked my car quietly whispering that I ‘fancied’ him and that saying it will never get old. I ignored him especially when I was seated in my car, the window down to tell Liam off but was cut off by him leaning his head in and planting a kiss on my cheek. I huffed and quickly pulled out of the parking lot, not giving him a second glance as I drove home.
There, I decided not to tell Fate anything but of course, she was bound to find out because the next morning I had asked her to fetch my phone which was ringing quite loudly (it was a Coldplay song) and I had gotten a headache from lack of sleep. She looked at it saying it was Fae before answering it, Fae had screamed down the line, “Blake, are you sure that you and Liam aren’t a thing? Because I saw him kiss you on the cheek yester – ”
I quickly snatched the phone from Fate’s hand and ended the call only to get an earful.
Since I was so desperate to get out of the apartment, Fate’s rants are not my favorite, I had arrived to the dressing room a whopping ten minutes early. I was the only one here so I decided rather than going to the stalls, I’d change right here. Besides, Fae is the only early bird – as she’s told me – meaning that she’ll be here before either boy walks in.
I was in the middle of taking off my shirt when the door opened and slammed closed. “You know, Fae, Liam and I aren’t a thing. Nor will we ever be.”
There were just footsteps in response. I rolled my eyes, knowing that just like Fate, she ships Liam and I and was glad that I “realized my feelings for him” because it was “annoying to pretend that she wasn’t a fan of Liam Payne”. She was probably upset that I wouldn’t let this ship sail.
Next thing I knew, arms were wrapped around my bare waist, causing me to freeze.
“Are you sure about that, babe?” Liam questioned pressing his lips to my shoulder, his hair tickling my neck and the side of my face. He didn’t pull away. “You’re just not letting yourself accept that you’ve already fallen for me, hm?”
“I haven’t fallen for you,” I state trying to keep my voice calm and collected as my heart starting beating faster. I kept my gaze locked on the wall in front of me, trying to calm down.
A hand that was wrapped around me placed itself onto my chest, above my left breast. “Then why is your heart beating so fast?”
Shoving him away from me, I quickly threw on my shirt before turning towards him with a glare. “You seriously need to learn your boundaries.”
He simply gave me a smirk, still standing really close to me. “Babe, I’ve got none.”
