🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 24, 2014

To sum up the date I had with Liam, I’ll only use three verbs: falling, laughing, and teasing. Now, maybe there was a reason I’ve never been to Rockefeller’s Ice Rink that reason being, I absolutely suck at ice skating. However, Liam didn’t know that – until I actually attempted to skate – and really, despite the fact that I’m really terrible at it, I love to skate. I had fell a total of thirty times, each time Liam would bust into hysterics, helping me up and teasing me about how awful I was as if I didn’t already know. Eventually, Liam couldn’t breathe from his laughter and his stomach was hurting from it so we left and had dinner at Chili’s – which I was content with because it was in fact my old job and I felt more powerful to my terrible coworkers.

I ended up dropping Liam off at his apartment around eleven our goodbyes consisted of a kiss and an exchange of ‘I had fun tonight’ before I watched him enter the building, going home once he was out of my sight.

This time, I did tell Fate every single detail.

The next morning, she wakes me up four hours early so we could start getting ready for the party this afternoon. Fate has the day off, sadly I do not but I am free as a bird tomorrow – unless Ted decides to make us help him clear “Santa’s Wonderland”. So I help her until it’s time to leave for work.

There aren’t many people here so we all start talking and just hang out with each other for the time being unless a kid comes running up to us.

“You should all come to Fate and I’s Christmas party,” I tell them once I step out of the stall, dressed in an ugly Christmas sweater, leggings and boots. I throw a beanie on my head as I look at the three figures sitting on the bench in the dressing room.

“Sure,” Fae mutters, tying her laces before looking up at me with a big smile. “I always celebrate Christmas day so I’m free today. How about you, Joe?”

“Why not?” He shrugs, wrapping a scarf around his neck and giving me a smile. “Do I need to bring anything?”

“Just your handsome self,” I tell him with a sarcastic wink. However, Liam gives me a glare for it. I pat his head and grin at my other two coworkers. “It’s amazing, isn’t it? How fast this went?”

“Yeah,” Liam says with a sigh. He wraps his arms around my waist and rests his head against my stomach, not bothering to stand up from the bench. “To think, you hated me when we first met.”

“To think, you wanted to get in my pants when we first met,” I mock him teasingly. He pinches my side as Fae and Joe look up at us with wide eyes. “Don’t worry, he didn’t. Good thing I noticed the good things about him before I hated him for life.”

“I’m going to miss this,” Joe speaks up after a few moments of silence. We all look to him, even Liam who unburied his head from the fabric of my sweater to turn towards the black haired man. “Group hug?”

And we did do a group hug, which resulted in Liam pinching Joe’s butt which I tease him about now but of course he only replies that he thought it was me.
