🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 23, 2014
The following day, work came and went – the lines to meet Santa were slowly dwindling down as Christmas was merely two days away now. All parents have caught up with their shopping, meaning that they no longer needed the convenience of the mall to help and since the parents didn’t come, neither would the kids. There were still some kids here and there but not as many as before but I guess it’s kind of a good thing, on Liam’s and the rest of us.
“Bloody hell,” Liam whines as he takes a seat on the bench, his hand rubbing his thigh. “Those kids don’t know how to sit still.”
“Please,” I heard Joe scoff. “At least you don’t have to keep a permanent smile and talk in a squeaky voice.”
Liam narrowed his eyes at the black haired man. “Are you saying it’s harder to be an elf?”
“Yes, it is. You get to sit around all day, just asking kids what they want when us elves have to stand the whole time and keep up this façade,” Joe replies picking at the tights, another point to be given to his argument. “All Santa does is take credit for the elves’ hard work by delivering them. God, that is so annoying.”
This argument went on for another fifteen minutes before Fae yelled at both of them to shut up – she actually sounded pissed, but I don’t blame her, they were fighting over the stupidest thing. Who the hell cares about this stuff? I mean, yeah, Santa does take credit for elves’ work but that may be biased because I am indeed an elf – not literally – but still, elves do in fact do all the work.
After both Liam and I had gotten dressed, which consisted of him trying to sneak into my stall various times, we started heading towards my car but as I started walking to the driver’s side, Liam snatched the keys and steered me away.
“What the hell, Liam? Now you’re stealing things?” I ask, still annoyed with that pointless argument in the dressing room. Liam rolled his eyes at me before opening the passenger door, I grumpily got in. Once he was in the car, I gave him a glare. “What are you doing?”
“Taking you out for our first date,” he says casually, turning the key and revving the engine to life. I gap at him slightly, which he notices making an amused smile appear. “Close your mouth, babe, you might catch flies.”
For the twenty minute car ride, I pestered Liam about where he was taking me but of course, he didn’t reply. He simply would place his hand on my thigh and that would cause me to become flustered and not be able to speak. But soon enough, I got my answer as we pulled up to Rockefeller Center Ice Rink. My eyes were wide as the scanned the ginormous tree.
“Wow,” I mutter softly, my breath visible against the cold glass of the car window. I turn to Liam with a smile. “You know, for the time I’ve lived in New York, I’ve never been here.”
“Well, that’s going to change,” he says as he returns the smile. He then reaches into the back seat to reveal two big coats, two scarves and two pairs of gloves. I give him raised eyebrows. “I grabbed ‘em when you weren’t looking this morning.”
Leaning over the center counsel, I gave Liam a kiss, three words hanging off my lips but I’m not willing to let them fall. I just meet his gaze, and give him the most loved up smile I could muster because right now, that’s all I’m capable of and when he returns that smile, I know that he feels the same way.

(A/N): this is by far my favorite chapter! It’s so freaking cute I can’t even especially Liam and Joe’s stupid yet cute argument. Oh my gosh, I’d die if my boyfriend took me to Rockefeller Center Ice Rink because I’ve been dying to go there – it looks so freaking amazing during Christmas time. Blake, you hold onto Liam Payne and don’t ever let him go. I hope you enjoyed this because only two chapters and an epilogue left!
Please vote, fan, comment – ride and alpaca because why not?
P.S. lovely picture of Rockefeller Center Ice Rink x
