🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 18, 2014
“Why can’t you just tell me?” I whined, repeatedly hitting my head against his arm as he simply chuckled at my attempts at trying to get him to tell me what he wants for Christmas. Honestly, after he’d given me the giant teddy bear yesterday – which was in fact part two, as in there is more to come – I realized that I needed to get Liam something and I’ve been stressing about it. The only thing that sucks about just starting a relationship with someone you’ve meet in the beginning of December is deciding what the hell they would want.
“Because I honestly don’t want anything,” Liam tells me once he actually faces me. He gives me a smile and meets my gaze not daring to glance at my pout. “Seriously, Blake. You’re the only gift I need.”
I rolled my eyes, trying hard to push the blush down – because I’ve been blushing too much for my liking today. “Cut the bull sh*t, Liam. Everyone wants something for Christmas.”
“I want a rocket ship, then,” he tells me with a serious tone and face. I simply slap his shoulder, not wanting to deal with his jokes, making him chuckle and shake his head. “Babe, I don’t want anything.”
“Whatever.”
I went home and complained to Fate about not knowing what to get Liam for Christmas. She simply tells me to shut the hell up and to stop acting like a clingy girlfriend. I honestly don’t think I was sounding clingy but then again, Fate was in a mood because she had started her period this morning and has no time to get her pills from the pharmacy for the cramps. Fate’s first day of being on her period is usually to be really grumpy, the second day would be a strong craving for chocolate, the third would be an overwhelming feeling to just cuddle and the fourth, and final, would be throw herself a party because “hallelujah, I’m done with my stupid ovaries.” I had the same moods.
The next morning, I had called in sick so I could spend the whole day looking for a gift for Liam. I would avoid the perimeter of the mall and just go to one of the outdoor shopping centers – of course, this called for a coat, leggings, boots, sweater, hat, scarf and gloves because it was just that freaking cold. I’m still not used to the cold weather of New York.
My first stop was at a clothing store, just looking for similar things I’ve seen him wear such as plaid, dark jeans, plain t-shirts and leather jackets. But of course, nothing popped out at me. Next I went to a game store, which was pointless for Liam’s gift because I didn’t know what kind of videogames he liked but it was beneficial for me because I’ve been dying to get the newest Assassin’s Creed. After buying a Christmas gift for myself I walked into about ten more stores before I had decided to give up.
I took refuge in Starbucks, of course, and ordered a caramel frappuccino before taking a seat on one of the stools. Glancing at the time, I noticed that I would’ve finished working by now.
“Sick, huh?” Liam’s voice made me jump and slightly spill some of my drink onto my sweater. I turned around to see him standing right behind me with eyebrows raised and hands stuffed into his coat pockets. He analyzed my face. “Why did you skip out at work? I missed you.”
My heart warmed up at this but I didn’t dwell on it long because I had to answer him. “I wasn’t feeling sick later?”
I cringe at how it came out as a question. I shook my head and offered him a smile. “I missed you too, British guy.”
That’s it.

(A/N): not much Liam is here but look, Liam sees everything. Jk, next chapter will explain why he was at Starbucks. So, what do you think Blake is gonna get him? I'd love to see some guesses! I hope you liked it!
