🎁 Blake Christian – February 2, 2015
If someone would have come up to me three months ago and say, “you’re going to meet a British guy who you’ll hate from the start but fall head over heels for him in a time of a few weeks” I would’ve laughed in their face and walked away. Because even though I loved British people, there was no way I could fall in love with someone so quickly – but of course, I was proved wrong.
Christmas was great, and so was New Year’s all because of one special boy – man, I mean (he hates when I call him a boy) – by the name of Liam Payne. I felt on top of the world when we were together, after I could actually bear the thought of being associated with him, of course. I was happy that I did because this was the best relationship I’ve had, and sure, we’re still a pretty young couple but that doesn’t mean were less blissful than any other couple.
After our jobs at the mall, we both headed in different directions. He ended up finding a job at Best Buy because he just loves electronics and I decided to work at a place that I didn’t mind at all. It was pretty predictable where I chose to work, since when I had told Liam the great news about getting a job, rather than congratulating me he said, “it’s at Starbucks, isn’t it?” And it was.
It wasn’t a dreadful job, but I have yet to get used to making perfection in a cup. Who knew so much work would be put into coffee? I certainly didn’t.
“Hey, Blake,” Fate greeted me this afternoon, during her lunch break from the restaurant. I nodded my head in acknowledgement before returning to the coffee I was making. “Oh, hey Liam.”
“What?” Quickly looking up from the cup of coffee I was preparing, I scanned the café only to find no sign of Liam. I glared at Fate who simply grinned at me. “You’re terrible, you know that?”
She shrugs as if it’s nothing new. “That was the only way I would capture your attention. So, guess what happened today.”
“The restaurant burned up in flames,” I mutter, finishing up the coffee and calling the name who it belonged to, “Lewis?”
A shaggy haired brunet with sharp blue eyes stood up and gave me tiny huff. “It’s Louis, the s is silent. Thanks.”
“Anyways,” Fate dragged after the boy stalked away. Is it considered cheating that I checked out his butt because it was nice. “No, that’s not what happened. This girl, Rose, you remember her? Yeah, she’s been begging Sam to give her the day off on the tenth because it’s her birthday but Sam kept saying no. She ended up yelling at him, short temper she has, and I’m just surprised she wasn’t fired on the spot.”
“Fascinating,” I mumble, still not interested in her story. As usual, the rest of her lunch break was spent talking to me, even though she knew I wasn’t listening, while sipping on her coffee. After she left, my coworker Harry nudged my shoulder.
“She was cute,” he tells me but I simply tell him he doesn’t want to get involved. Aren’t I a great friend?
Looking at the clock, I realized that Liam should be done with his shift meaning he was heading down here – like he always does – since I only had ten minutes of my shift left. Messing with the charm bracelet he had gotten me for Christmas, a smile pulled at my lips. The heart charm, the bear charm, the ice skate charm, the snowflake charm, it had snowed on New Year’s, which I had invited him to my parents’ party meaning Fate won the bet, and my favorite, the Santa and Elf charm. December was definitely something memorable – everything that happened and it was all because of the British man I call my boyfriend.
Huh, looks like Liam is Santa after all.

(A/N): OFFICIALLY OVER! Yep, this is the lovely epilogue and look, did you notice a couple new characters? Well, those will be my other holiday specials! The next one is a Valentine’s Day one, any guesses on who will be involved? These short stories will be tied together in some way, which I will enjoy because Lake will be mentioned here and then and I hardcore ship Lake.
But I hope that you loved this final update of The Not-So Lovely Tale of Santa and the Elf
Until February x
P.S. how have I not seen that gif before, like, holy crap it's so cute *mentally sings WMYB*
