Hello, my name is Alexis Grace Hayes, I'm 12 years old and I am currently living god knows where. The only thing I know is that I am stuck, stuck in a lab, polished white clean, the walls, floor and ceiling the same. The same steel door and steel bed and the 1 way window has been the only thing apart from my cousin I have seen in the last 6 years.

The same torture devices and the same intimidating but creepily charismatic group of doctors that said many years ago they would 'cure me'. The same doctors that put me and my cousin through hell everyday, the same set of people who force me to hurt and spy on others. The people who tattooed on my wrist '012' and '011' on my cousin's, the people who apparently bought me and my cousin for $1 million dollars each.

Now my cousin and I have been through so much but you may wonder how we got here. It all started when I was 6 years old, my best friend ever, Millie Bobby Brown, my favourite cousin, my favourite person, my shoulder to cry on, she is everything to me, the only person who has kept me sane.

When I was 6 my parents hit me. Every time I came home from school, constantly, there was not a day I don't remember throughout year one were I wasn't hit, now I had no clue that this was bad, I thought every kid's parents hit and mentally abused them. My thoughts came even more true when I shared my 'secret' with Millie only to her reply being the same.

The year went on, Millie and I sharing our thoughts that were way too deep for 6 year olds we noticed our siblings having the same marks and bruises as us, we noticed our parents being very suspicious.

Year 2 came around the corner and half way through the school year I noticed something a little off. To be exact it was the 6th of June in 2011 and it was a normal school day, I met up with my friend group to wait for Millie, to which she never turned up.

We all brushed it off and accepted the fact that she wasn't there, sick or something we pushed her not being there to the back of our minds and continued on with the rest of our day. It was only until I returned home and my parents beat me that they had announced that I could not see Millie, sick to my stomach I yelled at my parents, the thought of never seeing her again made my stomach drop. Yelling at them only made my parents beat me again, to my surprise this time I fought back. I threw my hands out in front of me throwing them both against the wall with some blue glow flowing through my veins and my eyes.

I did this for a whole week but scared of what they could do to me as they started to exploit me for my powers I ran away, out of the house, down the street and into the woods.

Only to meet Papa. Papa otherwise known as Dr. Brenner or as me and Millie like to call him Mr. Dick Face had cornered me in the woods and the last thing I remember is a group of strong, tall people had kidnapped me and brought me to this lab and that was the last time I was in New Jersey.

When I got there I was thrown in a room with none other than Millie. Throwing our arms over each other in relief but then only to go through the worst 6 years of my life.

You might be thinking, you would think my parents, family and police would look for me and Millie, well at least the police did. Over the years we pieced together the information we overhead and concluded that we were both sold to these people for $1 million dollars, to the public we were considered as missing and there was no way to find us as the government was with these people as well so they helped cover up our 'disappearance'.

To Millie and I's recent discoveries we now know that we are located in Hawkins Lab, in Hawkins, Indiana. Suddenly the lights turn off in my room, instinctively I walk over to my metal bed and go to sleep in my hospital gown, knowing well that tomorrow is the day, the day Millie and I's plan falls into place, tomorrow we escape out into the real world, looking forward to happiness, freedom and reality I close my eyes hoping for a better tomorrow.
