Thirteen: Sleepover

The sun was just setting as she skated home. The golden light hitting her face angelically as Alexis smoothly pushed the road to get home as quickly as possible. Making her way to the dirt track she kicks up her skateboard and walks down the pathway, the shining sun hitting her jaggedly through the dense trees. Opening the door she walked into Millie's room to see Sadie dancing around listening to the song 'Story of My Life' by One direction holding a hair brush up to her face like it was a microphone. Both Millie and Sadie gave her a nod hello as she entered and sat on the end of her bed with Millie, who was reading a magazine while bobbing her head.

"The story of my life, I take her home, I drive her home to keep her warm in time. Is frozen." Sadie sung, continuing to dance around the room. However Sadie stopped when she saw Millie looking at a page in her magazine with a young Leonardo DiCaprio on it, it was signed. He was teen heartthrob of the month. "Young Leonardo DiCaprio." Sadie notes,

"Wow," Millie breathes.

"He's really hot," Alexis says leaning over Millie's shoulder, as did Sadie.

"I bet he's an amazing kisser too." Sadie says. The cousins hum in agreement. "Hey, uh is Finn a good kisser?" Sadie cautiously asked.

"He's my first proper boyfriend. The only thing I have to compare it to is kissing Tommy Kingston back when I was 6 years old for a dare." Millie chuckled with a smile on her face.

"Have you seen them kiss!" Alexis cackles, "It looks like he's trying to eat her," She continues laughing and receives a playful nudge from Millie.

"Ex-boyfriend." Sadie corrects. Millie looks down, seemingly upset that she broke up with Finn. She's hadn't gone a day without him for 6 months.

"Hey, don't worry about it," Alexis comforted, patting her cousins leg twice. "Ok? He'll come crawling back to you in no time, begging for forgiveness."

"Yeah, I guarantee you he's like, totally wallowing himself in self pity and misery right now and moaning to Caleb about it," Sadie is cut off as the girls hear a car pull up. Going back to their business knowing it was just Hop Alexis grabbed a magazine and lays back down on the floor. However Alexis didn't read the magazine, she opted into staring off into space as all three of them lay on the floor.

The girls began to read as Alexis stares at the ceiling, thinking about what had happened that day. She smiled at the thought of hanging out with her best friend- her favourite cousin and her other best friend. She also thought about how Noah and her were still holding back on telling their friends about a possible threat that could kill them all- not forgetting the late where her and Noah held hands.

Oh how did my life ever get this fucking complicated she thought and started rethinking her shit. 1. parents abused me, 2. kidnapped at age 7, 3. the kidnappers happen to be the government, 4. was being used as a weapon because I have special abilities along with my cousin, 5. abused while being kidnapped for 6 years, 6. got an unwanted tattoo, 7. had my identity killed off and had to create a new one, 8. found out my parents and auntie and uncle got a million dollars for me and Millie, 9. lost a best friend, 10. discovered some interdenominational monster type shit, 11. defeated it but then had to deal with a hybrid version of it, 12. I stopped keeping track of how many times I was close to dying at age 11, 13. in love with my best friend, 14. oh and not to mention all the mental trauma that comes with all of it. She thought. They heard the door close as hop entered the cabin but payed no mind to it as pop music began to play. They then hear his drunken voice begin to shout.
