Seven: Dimples

The movie had finished, the group exiting Startcourt Mall. Alexis and Sadie were quick to pick up their Skateboards ready to go home, Finn was taking Millie home while Mrs. Schnapp was taking both Caleb and Noah home. Her car pulled up as both Caleb and Noah hopped in... Alexis quickly ran up to them, pulling in Noah's shoulder to face him.

"Noah," She said as he sighed looking her in the eye. "Are we not gonna talk about this?"

"El-"

"Son't 'El' me... you promised, we could all be in danger!" She whisper yelled, not wanting to alarm everyone else.

"Lexi, listen to me. Listen to me!" He whisper yelled back as Alexis's breathing increased, the others giving them a weird look. "Mum, can you give us a minute?" He asks through the car window receiving a nod. Noah pulls Alexis  away from the group which everyone questioned silently as for anyone to leave the two were needed. "We will talk about this, ok?" He said whisper yelling again, aware everyone was staring at them.

"But Noah... something bad could happen," Alexis said desperately.

"I know..." He says putting his hands through his hair. "I know. We know better than anyone ok. And we will deal with it ok, but I don't want to worry anyone-"

"Finn is already worried!" Alexis shouted pushing Noah in the chest, not realising everyone could see and hear her.

"I know! Alexis you need to calm down." Alexis stepped back, her real name being used, she furrowed her eyebrows. Tears clouded her eyes realising what she had done. Noah's face softened, pulling her in for a tight hug. "Ok... we will come up with a plan. Just for now, my guess is keep an eye out for anyone that could possibly be a new host. That way if we do find someone, we can tell the others... ok?" There was a long pause, Noah still holding Alexis close. "Lex?"

"Fine." She said bluntly, looking up at Noah, sniffling a little and backing off from Noah and starting to walk away. "If anything happens its on you," She said and walked over to Sadie, Finn and Millie.

"Bye Caleb, Mrs. Schnapp. Come on guys, let's go." Alexis said as she hopped on her skateboard, gesturing the rest to follow. Sadie sighs and hops on her skateboard as Millie hops on the back of Finn's bike. Alexis slows down to wait for them as Finn had a light on his bike, Sadie and Alexis followed close behind the couple so they could see through the night. Alexis was extremely quiet and sort of hung behind the group as they all talked about the movie however Sadie then slowed down and came out next to Alexis as she skated silently.

"El, what was that all about?" Sadie asks. Alexis sighs and looks at Sadie,

"It doesn't matter Sades," Alexis sighs again.

"Are you sure? Is everything ok?" She pressures on.

"Yeah," Alexis choked out as they stopped out the front of Sadie's house. Finn rode a little ahead and stopped as him and Millie had a conversation. Sadie kicked her board into her hands facing Alexis who had stepped off her board.

"El, I don't wanna push it but... I've really been worried about you." Alexis harshly sighs and silently curses at an imaginary Noah a 'I fucking told you so' she thought. Sadie tries to meet Alexis's gaze, failing she cups her cheek and looks deep into her eyes. Alexis tried to look away again as Sadie takes her hand off Alexis's face in which Sadie instantly puts her hand back and doesn't take it off. Alexis smiles at Sadie's soft hands caressing her face. "I've been worried about you since Gaten's party on the last day of school, I heard you and Noah talking about your insecurities before hopping in the pool." The girl confesses, Alexis's eyes widening at the stuff she remembered saying that night. "I tried to push it away... just like you have and always seem to do but what was that fight with Noah about? I mean, it seemed pretty serious and you guys like, never fight." Sadie's blue eyes glimmered in the moonlight.
