Five: Vines

I wake up to the sound of Hop nailing something into the wall and Millie out of bed, she opens the door and I catch a glimpse of Hop before Millie slams the door shut again. She's comes over to her bed and we both sit in silence.

"Hey, kids. Listen. Um... about last night, I, uh... I want this place cleaned up by the time I get back and then maybe I'll consider fixing the T.V. You hear me?" He says, as we hear his keys jingle as he heads towards the door and goes to work. Millie and I give each other a look, I get out of her bed and walk into my room, before closing out doors we both look at each other as we then close them. I pick up my book I start to read it for the next few hours before I have a quick nap.

Maybe a good few hours have past and I decide to go out of my room for a drink only to find papers, scattered everywhere across the floor, a box that says Hawkins Lab and a blindfold tossed to the floor.

"Shit!" Glancing at some of the papers, I read the titles. "Two Girls from New Jersey Missing. Cousins from New Jersey Disappeared. The 2 missing girls from New Jersey declared dead with no evidence." Holy shit. Wait... where is Millie?

"Shit! Millie?" To no response I rush into her room and see that she had torn down the wood off her window and had clearly jumped out.

"Ahh fuck! Millie." Walking around her room I find a note on her desk.

"I'm sorry Lexi. I will be back but I have to find something first. I know I'm putting you at risk but trust me, I won't be seen by anyone, at least not anyone that is bad... I will be back. I promise, tell Hop I'll be ok. I will be back soon... love you Buba."

Damnit. What the hell fo I do? Do I go and find her? Do I stay put? Or do I go to Finn. Realising I was starting to heat up uncontrollably I run outside and feel the cool breeze. Loving the oxygen I continue to run.

I run for a long time until I find myself at a pumpkin patch. Suddenly I see Hop's car as the bad stench reaches my nose. Out of no where I hear a car coming around the corner, screaming as the car stops inches in front of me. As one guy hops out of the car I see Winona step out of the drivers seat.

"Alexis?" She says running to hug me but I step back. "Hey, hey. It's ok, it's me. Winona. I'm not going to hurt you."

"I's not about you hurting me... it's about me hurting you."

"But what are you doing here sweetie?"

"I, I. I don't know." I start to shiver. The random guy hands me his coat but before I can accept it i feel this darkness come over me.

"He likes it cold." I say standing back. "What the hell?" I mumble as I look up to see a very worried Winona.

"Shit." Winona breathes. "Well ok Alexis. This is Shaun..." I give him a small wave.

"I need to get down there." I say looking at the hole in the ground. "I need to get down there."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Shaun! Go get the rope from the boot!"  A very confused Shaun goes to get the rope as me and Winona analyse the hole.
