Sixteen: Light Her Up

We all looked at the vine covered hole as I step forward on my shaky legs. I put my hands out and take a deep breath, focusing on what I have to do. A now blue glow coming from my tattoo, lighting up the '012' as everyone watched in amazement, the vines dispersing, creating a hole big enough for everyone to fit through. We fed a rope down the hole and all got down. I hop on Joe's back as everyone looks around in astonishment.

"Holy shit." Joe mumbles.

"This place is huge," Sadie whispers, causing me to sigh and nod.

"It's very dangerous," I say to everyone. "we all need to stay close together, alright?"

"I'm pretty sure it's this way," Finn says, looking at the map and starting to walk in one direction, expecting everyone to follow.

"You're pretty sure, or you're certain?" Gaten asks, staying in his place like everyone else had.

"I'm 100% sure," Finn says. I sigh and hobble over to Finn, barely reaching him before he grabs me and helps me stand properly.

"Just follow me and you'll know," I say to them, knowing I can find my way with the little knowledge I have, my instincts taking over.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I don't think so." Joe says stopping Finn, before stopping me too.

"What?" Finn says staring at Joe.

"Any of you little shits die down here, i'm getting the blame. Got it dipshit?" Joe says confidently shining the torch in all of our faces. "From here on out, i'm leading the way," Joe says taking the map from Finn. "Come on, let's go. Come on. Hey, a little hustle."

"God," Caleb mumbles as we walk.

"What is this place?" Sadie asks, now helping me walk as Finn had got tired of holding me up.

"Guys, come on. Keep moving." Joe orders everyone. I take a breath as I look back from where we had came from. Closing my eyes for a moment, the screams from the soldiers hitting harder than Jax's punches. Letting the screams of also myself getting into my head.

"Lexi?" Sadie asks quietly, watching as my eyes open again and stare at the tunnel walls.

"I should've stopped them," I whisper. "they're dead... gone." My breath picked up, my eyes glazed with glossy tears as my heart skipped a beat. "It's my fault..."

"Hey, hey, Lexi!" Sadie shouts, moving my face to look at her. "Look at me. Look at me!" Finn instantly realises that I was having a panic attack and runs towards us. He quickly moves Sadie out of the way and puts his hands on my shoulder's.

The blood is pounding in my ears as my heart thundered in my chest. The sound becoming so loud my head begins to hurt as if a hammer were hitting it repeatedly. I can't breathe, the limited amount of air around us could barely be able to reach my lungs. I can't see as the tears and dizziness blurred my vision.

I should've saved them.

I could of saved them.

I didn't save them.

My now inability to breathe caused me to cry out in pain, multiple pins and needles sticking into my skin, attacking me all at once. That, along with the added pounding headache completely disabled me from moving- I am trapped.
