Ten: The Spy

I slowly flutter my eyes open and I already feel much better than I did before, actually having the strength to open my eyes. I looked up and saw Sadie sitting next to me silently, assuming the boys were leaving her out of what was going on. I sit up and she looks at me, making me smile.

"Hi, Sadie right?" I say as she giggles.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" She says tucking a strand of her firey red hair behind her ear.

"Mm, I overheard Finn and Gaten on the walkie talkies from the night when Noah had his episode that you saw." We both stay silent.

"Alexis. You ok? Sorry, sorry. Dumb question."

"No, it's ok. Yeah, yeah... I fine. I'm just worried about Millie, I assume you've heard of her if you are still here." I say looking her in her beautiful ocean eyes.

"Yeah I have, she seems like a great person, you know. I'm sure she will turn up soon."

"Yeah... I wish."

"You know, I first thought what Caleb was telling me was crazy, like out of his mind on crack of what he told me." She exclaims, making me giggle a little.

"Yeah? Sounds like some crackhead wrote it?" I sigh. "I wish that was the case..." The girl grabs my hands as we are now staring each other in the eyes. Making us both smile.

"I'm sorry my first impression was bad, terrible actually but I think we could be really good friends, you seem nice enough." I smirk.

"Yeah, that would be nice. Since I got here I have to put up with the boys, it would be nice to have a girl around." We both giggle.

"You sure that you are ok?"

"Kinda cold." I shrug. Sadie instantly takes off her jacket and helps me carefully put it on.

"Here." She says, I smile a thanks, I was a little smaller than Sadie so the jacket looked over sized on me.

"Sorry if there is blood on it."

"That's seriously what your worrying about, after everything?" She exclaims. I shrug again.

"Where is everyone?"

"I'll take you to them." Sadie carefully helps me stand up, she grabbed one of my hands and put her other hand around my waist for support. I breathed deeply as I stand still for a moment, getting used to being up right. I feel dizzy from the amount of blood loss, for a moment I closed my eyes and winced in pain as I took another deep breath. Sadie furrows her eyebrows.

"You ok?" She says softly. It was weird, as much as I am out of my comfort zone now, especially without Millie. Sadie seems to make me feel safe. Protected. I feel like I can trust her. Maybe it's because she's apart of this situation now or maybe even just because she's another female.

"Yeah." I mumble, blinking quickly to get rid of the black spots that littered my vision. Sadie takes a slow step forward as I move on one wobbly leg with her.

"You got it." Sadie whispers as I take a moment to regain my strength. I want to cry out in pain and frustration, barley able to move another step. "You ready to take another step? We can take as long as you need, ok?"
