Unfrozen Love

~* Chapter 11 *~

The water burst through Yuki's body, and Yuki let out a small gasp. "YUKI!" Gray yelled. Juvia's eyes were wide open, and she ran towards Yuki.

However, just as Yuki landed on the ground, it shattered to pieces. Juvia's eyes widened, and then she was sent to the ground. Something cold and sharp was placed close to Juvia's throat.

"I win." Yuki commented with a smile, but winced as she felt the pain on her right shoulder. Everyone was silent, but they all burst into tears, relieved that none of their nakama had died.

"What a relief!" Lucy said as she wiped a small drop of tear off the side of her closed eyes, "I thought she actually died!" Gray broke through the crowd, and engulfed Yuki into a tight hug.

"Idiot..." Gray tightened his grip, stuffing his face on the croak of her neck, "Don't scare me like that... I thought I was going to lose you forever."

Yuki giggled before pecking him on the lips, saying, "I'm sorry~"

"Juvia lost..." Juvia sulked on the ground, completely saddened by the fact that she had lost by a love rival. "Gray-sama... Gray-sama is..." tears ran down Juvia's eyes.

Then, a shadow appeared in front of Juvia, and she tilted her head upwards. A hand was stretched out in front of her, and she was confused. "Why?"

"Because." Yuki said, grinning, "You're my nakama, and namaka's always stay together and have each others back!" Yuki smiled brightly, while the sun behind her back shined brightly, slightly blinding Juvia's eyes.

"Nakama..." Juvia repeated the words, "Juvia is so sorry about your shoulder..." Juvia said, and Yuki blinked.

"How did you know..." Juvia looked up, seeing the pain across Yuki's face from her injured shoulder.

"Yuki was wincing when Gray-sama was hugging her." Juvia said, taking Yuki's other hand which was not injured, "Juvia is now your nakama, so please go to the infirmary."

"And you said you won't get hurt..." Gray clicked his tongue before smirking. Yuki blushed and grinned as she held her right shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, Gray-sama~" She said, giggling at his flushed face.

"Now, now." Mirajane said, walking beside Yuki, "Let's get you to the infirmary."

Natsu slammed the palm of his hand onto the flat table, and underneath his palm was a job request. "Let's go on a job! It's been a long time since we've done one!"

"Yeah, like a few months ago...?" Lucy said, counting the number of months since they had did their last job. "Yeah, all because stripper didn't want to come." Natsu said, slightly angered.

"I told you guys to go ahead!" Gray growled before watching Yuki biting chunks of ice.

"Does that really help you heal faster?" Wendy ask politely as she sat beside Yuki, who used her left hand to eat the ice.

Yuki nodded, "I'll be okay in a day or two."

Natsu grinned, "You're just like a dragon slayer!"

This time, Yuki grinned, but shook her head in reply, "But I'm not one!"

Erza grabbed the job request off Natsu's palm, skimming her eyes across the page. "A water park?" Erza questioned, " 'Evil roams around inside the waters of the park.' is what it says."

"Ev..il?" Yuki questioned, having a bad feeling under the pit of her stomach. Erza nodded.

"Why is there 'evil' inside a water park?" Lucy questioned as she leaned against her chair.

"Does it have anything to do with Zeref?" Gray ask.

"I have no idea." Natsu said before standing up, "So! Why not we go out and do the job tomorrow morning?! We still need Yuki to rest though!"

"Yuki, you sure you want to come?" Gray ask, concern shown across his face.

"Yes." Yuki smiled, "I don't want to be alone, I want to be with you!"

Gray smiled before patting her head, "I'll be protecting you then." Lucy smiled at the sight in front of her.

"You guys are so cute with each other~" Lucy squealed, but slapped her mouth shut at her sudden outburst.

Yuki and Gray blushed.
