The guild was peaceful, but there was something off about the guild.
It was a bit too peaceful.
"Master Makarov!" The mustache Macao yelled, running towards the white bearded master of the Fairy Tail guild. Master Makarov raise an eyebrow, not enjoying the least bit of the peacefulness.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Yeah," Macao leaned down on Makarov's ear before whispering the situation, and he can feel the master about to heave a sigh.
"That girl..." Master Makarov jumped onto the counter before placing both hands behind his back, taking in a huge breath.
"EVERYONE!" He yelled loudly, "We have to go and find Yuki! She has gone missing! GO!" Everyone in the guild started to run off, leaving Master Makarov sitting.
His eyes were furrowed, and all he can do is think. 'Yuki! What are you doing?!'
*huff* *huff* The onyx-white-haired female ran through the forest, not stopping. Not even stopping for a brief moment. "Gray...!" She breathed, forcing her legs to go faster, almost passing her limit, "Wait for me...!"
She gripped her necklace, the color of it glowing, "Don't die, Gray!"
"Ouch..." Gray rubbed his head, standing up from the small pile of rubble. "Oi, Ultear! Are you alright!" He said to Ultear, who dusted off the dirt off herself. She gave him a firm nod.
"Let's go." Gray said once more before walking into the forest, Ultear following close behind. They both were cautious about their surroundings, always jumped slightly into a fighting stance from even a small sound or rustle.
"Do you know where they are?" Ultea questioned. "Natsu." Gray said, firmly into his head, "Where are you guys? Can you smell us?"
"Yeah. Just turn 20 degrees clockwise." Natsu's voice echoed inside his head, and he repeated those words to Ultear, who gave him a nod.
Then, they did the instructions Natsu had told them. Gray and Ultear stroll through the forest, but something unsettling lays inside their chest. "Something's wrong." Ultear said, breaking the silence.
Gray nodded with agreement. A chill ran down his spine at the sudden coldness of the wind. "There is something definitely wrong." He can feel presence around him and Ultear.
"Ice make:" He formed a fist while slamming it on top of his open palm, yelling out that one word, "Lance!" Cold gust of wind started to blow outwards, and ice started to shoot our, crashing onto the trees and shrubs nearby.
Then, he heard shattering.
"Run!" He yelled, the sound sounding right behind them. Ultear ran behind him as Gray led the way. He ran, ran as fast as his legs can take him.
But his heart clenched in pain, a pain that only can be felt when one is close to death.
He screamed loudly before collapsing to the ground, gripping his chest. He rolled up into a small ball and laid on his side, trying to ease the dreadful pain inside him.
It almost felt like a thousand swords jabbing into his chest, one after the other, nonstop. "Gray!" Ultear knelt down beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder, but that just made Gray feel even more pain.
"Are you okay?!" Ultear watch Gray scream loudly, and the ears of the dragon slayer perked up. "Gray?" She questioned. Ultear started to look around the area, looking for the source of his pain.
"There!" She stood up and stared at the darkly colored shadow underneath the shadows of the trees. "Ice make: Rosen Krone!" Purple roses burst out and charged towards the shadow, but it went past it.
She clicked her tongue, listening to the screams of her own little brother (to her, since he's Ur's student) scream in pain. "You...!" She gritted her teeth together, but listened to the rustling of the leaves.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!"
A large ball of fire soar right past her, and it hit exactly at the gloomy figure. "Natsu!" Ultear turned her head to the side and stared at the pink haired male, along with the others.
"What's happening?"
"It's that thing." Ultear said, "It's causing Gray pain."
Gray winced and turned, gripping his chest, contrasting and relaxing his muscles, but it didn't help him at all. His lungs hurt, but his heart hurt even more. His only question was...
Is this how death feels like?
Then, a yell chimed through his ears, the voice he had been aching to hear, aching to see, aching to love again.
"GRAY!"
Yuki had arrived to her destination, the necklace around her neck glowing brightly again, but this time, it was with it's beautiful color.
The two broken hearts had finally found each other again.
