Gray was thrown into a jail cell, with handcuffs locked onto his wrist. As he made an impact with the ground, he rolled on his back, standing upright with his formed fist in front of him. However, the cell door was then closed, locked much to his amusement.
"Crap." He cursed as he gave a glare at the closest soldier. "You've been caught too, huh?" A female voice vibrated into his cold ears. His head perked up before looking for the source of that voice.
His eyes were then adverted to the corner of the cell, where a female with mid-back length hair, a hairband, and slanted eyes bore into his. "Ultear.."
Ultear smiled softly, "What are you doing in the dark guild, Gray?" She questioned as she leaned her back against the wall, her also-handcuffed-hands spread out in front of her.
"I was searching for you." He answered, "But I don't think right now is the right time."
"What do you need?" She questioned, her eyebrow raised. Gray watched her on the corner of his eyes, but let out a sigh before sitting on the wall right next to her.
"You see this necklace?" He questioned, raising his head to reveal the necklace that surrounds his neck. Ultear nodded. "This necklace has been cursed. The other part, that was also cursed, is with my soul mate right now." Oh, how much he wants to see the smile on his snowflake (Yuki :D)'s face again.
"What do I have to do?" Ultear ask once more, staring at the necklace before rubbing her thumb across it.
"I was wondering if you can turn it back to normal." He said, "Like the time when you fixed Hade's ship in a matter of seconds."
"Ah." She nodded, her eyes closed as she thought back to that time. A small smile was then planted on her lips, but was then changed into a straight line, "What would happen if the two of you are together?"
His heart squeezed, "I'll... Die." He adverted his eyes downwards, and the atmosphere became tense.
"Oh." was the only answer that left her lips.
"Well, can you return it back to normal?" He questioned, making eye contact with her once more. Ultear smiled softly, but gave a small shrug with her shoulders.
"I hadn't tried it on cursed material before." She said, "But, it's worth a shot." She stood up, listening to the chains crashing onto each other like tinkling bells, "Shall we test it out?"
She stuffed her hand into her cape, pulling out that same greenish-jade orb he had last seen. Her eyes changed color, and was then placed with a glowing red color, with a symbol at the center of it all.
Gray looked down at his necklace, watching it glow in that same dark, spooky color. But just after that small moment, it fell back down, unchanged.
"What?" Gray raise his head towards Ultear, who's eyes were wide with shock. He felt the rock's warmth, and it burned through his skin. He winced, but held it in.
"What happened?" Gray questioned, "Why isn't it working?"
"This is strange..." Ultear questioned, "Cursed or not, it should be able to change back through time." The heat on his chest rose. He placed a hand on his chest, feeling his cold hands.
However, his hands were then heated up from the heat, and he quickly removed his hand away. "Is it getting hotter?" He questioned, slowly fanning himself.
He took hold on his necklace before pulling it close to his face, staring at the color that was still emitting off it. "It's burning hotter." He said, making sure that it doesn't fall against his skin again.
"Black Magic?" Ultear thought, "Or is it really just a curse?" Gray stared at the necklace, then froze it with his ice magic. However, it shattered. Small sparks started to emit, and it touched his skin. It was cold, just like snow.
It reminded him a lot about Yuki.
"This isn't good." He said to himself, "What am I gonna do now? Stay away from Yuki for my entire lifetime?" He can't even imagine being away from Yuki for even a day.
"Don't say such thing." Utear said, sitting cross-leg in front of him, "I think it's an actual curse."
He scoffed, "Yeah, I've known that earlier then you did-"
"I am serious." her eyes were slanted, "There is nothing I can do about it. Nothing can stop it now." Gray stared into her eyes, and his eyes relaxed, but only for a brief moment.
"Well, Crap then..." He said, running his fingers through his hair, feeling the softness and coolness of it, "Since there's nothing we can do about it..." He clicked his tongue, but it came out into a small, quiet 'tsk', "I'll..." His voice quavered, "Have to stay away from Yuki... for my entire life..."
"SNAP OUT OF IT YOU STUPID F*CK-IN ICE BASTARD! DON'T SAY SUCH CRAP WHEN THERE IS OTHER F*CKIN' IDEAS OUT THERE!"'
"SHUT THE HELL UP, FIRE BASTARD!" Gray yelled out the cell, and Ultear raise an eyebrow.
"Why'd you yell?" Gray raise an eyebrow, "You seriously didn't hear Flame Brains voice?"
"Flame Brain?" Ultear questioned, but laughed, "Oh, you mean Natsu. No, I didn't really."
Gray groaned, "I think I've just got into hypothermia or something.."
"SHUT THE HELL UP, STRIPPER!"
"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HEAD JESUS!" He yelled once more, but this time, he too raise an eyebrow. He didn't hear it from his ears, but instead...
He heard it from his mind.
