Cassie's POV

The next day of school had went by extremely quick. When I got home, I popped open a beer just because of what Christian said. I sat down in the living room, and turned on the TV, watching the top of the third inning of the baseball game.

Christian was in the on deck circle. As he got up to bat, he popped up a fly ball on the second pitch. It was easy for me to tell that he was upset. His next at bat he got a double, so I could tell he was a little more happy.

After the game, they had to fly to Miami for tomorrow's game. Christian still had the chance to call me though.

"Hey baby," Christian said as I answered the phone.

"Hey Christian," Well damn I probably blew my cover that I'm upset with him.

"Christian?" He asked.

"Well isn't that your name?" I asked and got up from the couch.

"I mean so is babe or baby," he mumbled a little.

"Uh you're right, I'm sorry," I said knowing I couldn't stay mad over something this stupid.

There was a small silence for a coupe of seconds before he asked, "What did I even do?"

"You just annoyed me last night," I said and I think it clicked instantly for him.

"Because I told you to chill on the drinking huh?" He asked.

"Yes, now let's talk about something else. How about how you are so cute?" I questioned and he laughed a little.

His laugh was so cute as well, Christian just made me so happy.

"Oh you think I'm cute?" He asked and I smiled at him.

"Oh definitely, I really wish you were here right now," I said.

He sighed, "I told you how it was going to be."

"I know, it's just I really want to see you. Hopefully soon. And I know this is kinda random but, did you hear about that virus that's going around?"

"Oh yeah, that's crazy. I hope it's gets cleared up fast," He said and then Ryan started calling me.

"I have to call you back, Ryan's calling me," I said and Christian quickly told me goodbye.

I answered Ryan's call, "Hey sister."

"Hey brother," I said and chuckled a little.

"You want to go over and check on Larisa, she hasn't been feeling good, and I don't want her taking care of the kids if she doesn't feel good."

"Um right now?" I asked.

"Yes Cassie right now," Ryan said with a sigh.

"Um I'll have to take an Uber there, so it will take a couple minutes."

"Why would you need to take an Uber when you could drive yourself?"

"I had a drink or two," I said and there was silence.

"At what time?" He asked me. Ryan was asking so many questions and he was on my nerves.

"When I got home from work, now I got to go. Tell Larisa, I'll be there in a few," I said and hung up.

I got myself an Uber and went to Larisa's house. She opened the door when I got there.

"Girl what's wrong?" I asked her as she sat back on the couch.

She looked down and it was silent before she answered, "This pregnancy is super hard."

My eyes grew wide, "Oh my gosh, yes baby number three! I can't wait to meet him."
