Christian's POV
As we got to Ryan's house, we went inside. Cassie's parents were already there and I gave her mom a hug and her dad shook my hand. "You want a drink Christian?" Ryan asked me.
"I'm driving, but thank you," I told him as he opened a beer for his dad and him.
"Cas will drive home, just have a couple with us," Their dad said. I looked at Cas who was with Larisa and her mom. She nodded her head.
"Okay," I said and Ryan opened a beer for me.
"How've you been Christian?" Ryan and Cassie's dad asked me.
"I've been great. Glad to be back home," I said and he smiled.
"I'm hoping you're taking care of Cassie. Treating her right?"
"Of course, I love her too much to be treating her wrong." I felt kinda horrible that just a few months ago I hurt her so much but she still managed to love me through all that.
Ryan opened the door to go outside and we followed. We sat down and I took another sip of my beer. "Cassie told me that you live on the beach here in Malibu, how do you like that?"
I've talked to their dad before but it's never been about stuff like this. "Oh I love it, it's so beautiful and nice to have a house right on the beach."
"So when Cassie stays over, does she have her own room?" He asked and Ryan scoffed.
"Dad come on," Ryan said and I took a sip because that was going to be awkward answering that.
"I'm sorry, I was just curious," He said and Ryan laughed a little. A couple minutes later the girls and the kids came out. Cas came and sat next to me and she held my hand.
"Can I ask you two a question?" Her mom asked and we both nodded our heads yes. "Have you guys talked about marriage and what you want in your futures?"
"We've touched on it but not a lot," Cas responded.
"So like how would this work, if you guys got married, had kids, and you wanted to be a teacher still Cas?"
"Well I said that I probably wouldn't be a teacher, maybe I would just go to culinary school and become a baker. And we also said that if we had kids we would all live in Milwaukee during the season and come back to Malibu during the offseason."
"Okay, Christian you're willing to support her choices and your family?" Her dad asked.
"Guys you're scaring him," Cas said and she was completely right. Of course I would support her choices. If Cassie didn't want to have a job I would still support her choices. "We've talked about this, Christian tells me all the time that if I didn't work he would provide for me."
"Yeah it's something that I don't mind doing but Cas still wants to work and she doesn't want me to do everything," I said.
"Cas loves to make money that's why," Her dad said and everyone agreed.
I laughed because it was very true. "Okay enough about us because I don't want to scare Christian away," Cas said while rubbing my hand with her thumb.
I finished my first beer and I looked at Cas. "Hit me," I said and she laughed and got up to get me another beer.
She came back out a couple minutes later. "Here you go babe," Cas said and I grabbed it.
"Thank you beautiful," I said and kissed her lips quickly.
"Woah PDA," Her dad said and we both looked away from each other.
