Christian's POV

Today, I was going out to breakfast with Cassie's dad and Ryan. Larisa decided to invite Cas over so I could go out without her being paranoid about her dad and I.

"Hey," I said and then shook her dad's hand. Ryan and I gave each other a bro hug and then we waited to be sat at a table. After we ate, her dad looked at me.

"Why'd you want us here young man?" Her dad asked me.

"Well I just really wanted to say that I'm so in love you with your daughter. She makes me so happy and I love having her in my life. I couldn't imagine the rest of my life without her. So I was going to ask if I had yours and Ryan's blessing to propose to her?"

Ryan and his dad looked at each other and I waited for the both of them to say no.

"Are you going to provide for her and treat her right?  Are you going to make sure she gets the world because that's what she deserves." Her dad asked me.

"Of course I will. I want to provide for her and make sure she has a happy life with me."

"What about the kid situation? If you have kids are you're going to give them the best life right?" Ryan asked.

"Yes I don't intend on making Cassie or our kid's lives anything less than amazing."

Ryan and his dad looked at each other for about a minute. "Yes," They both said and it felt like I was able to breathe again.

"Christian, I've never seen Cassie so happy with anyone. When she was younger she would say, she probably would never find anyone and now you're here and it's like the piece that completed her," Her dad said and my heart warmed a little.

"Do you have a ring picked out?" Ryan asked.

"About that, I was going to have Larisa go with me," I said.

The bill came and I grabbed it and put my card in it. "So when were you thinking proposing?"

"I think when we go back to California for a game against the Dodgers. She definitely loves Malibu more than Milwaukee so I think it will be perfect."

"Well you better find a ring quickly because there's about two weeks until we head back."

"I know," I said and chuckled. The waitress came back with my card and she smirked at me. "I'm engaged," I said even though I wasn't yet.

She sighed and left. Ryan and his dad laughed and we got up and headed back to Ryan's place. When we got there, I went inside for a couple minutes.

"You went somewhere with my dad and Ryan?" Cassie asked me as we walked in.

"Yes to breakfast," I said and then kissed her cheek.

"Were you guys nice?" She asked them and they nodded their heads. "Alright as long as they weren't mean."

I laughed and sat on the couch with her. As we sat there I played with her hair. "You're so beautiful," I told her and she lifted her head and smiled.

"Thank you baby. I love you," Cassie said and then kissed my lips.

"I love you too," I said after she pulled away. We stayed for a little bit longer and then we went back to my place. "One more week baby," I told her as I looked at her foot.

"Hopefully, if the doctor says I need to wear it longer I'm going to cry."

"I need to see those toes," I said as I grabbed my stuff for the game. She hit me and then felt bad and kissed me.

"You better hit a home run today," She said.

"Do I get romantic time with you if I do?"

"Well we will find out if you hit a home run," She said and handed me a snack she made for me to eat when I get to the stadium.
