Cassie's POV

It was now about five in the morning and I was barely leaving the hospital with my mom. "I can not believe you broke your ankle and a little bit of the bone in the bottom of your leg."

"I know, I'm never wearing boots or heels when I'm going to drink."

"You shouldn't even be drinking," She said.

"I'm sober now," I said and she looked at me.

"No you're sobering up but you're not completely sober."

"Same difference," I said and looked at my phone. The game started at 1:10 today, so that means I have to leave by 12 because there will be traffic. So then I need to wake up by 10:45 at the latest. We still have a thirty minute drive back to Christian's. It's going to be a long day.

I got my crutches and walked into the building by myself. My mom offered to help but I knew she was going to scold me more. These things hurt my armpits so bad. When I opened the door to the apartment, it was pitch black and I tried my best to not walk into anything.

Christian was knocked out in his bed and I didn't want to wake him up. It took me about twenty minutes to get into some pajamas and I finally laid in bed. He moved a little in his sleep and he wrapped his arm around me. "I love you," I said quietly.

"I love you too," He said but was still asleep. I looked at him and he was sound asleep. Maybe he was half asleep, but I decided not to worry about it. I really couldn't sleep because I was in so much pain. As the sun started coming up, I was finally able to sleep.

I felt Christian's body get out of bed. "Don't leave me," I said while I was half asleep.

"I have to get ready C," He said and took the blanket off of my leg to look at it.

"I'm in pain baby," I said and he kneeled next to the bed and looked at my face.

"Did you get medicine?" He asked and I nodded. "Do you want me to grab you some?"

"No I want to have a glass of wine tonight."

"That's a priority?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Kinda," I said and laughed. "I'm just trying to not take medicine because it's a drowsy one."

"Oh, are you still coming to the game?"

"Yes, my mom is making me. She's mad that I was kinda irresponsible."

"I agree with her. You should've never went out in the first place."

"Well then, you could take me out tonight."

"I'm not taking you out with crutches and a big ass cast. If anything, I'll take you out to dinner."

"We've been eating out so much, I'm over it. But thanks for the offer. I'm tired now, I'll see you at the game."

"Okay," He said and kissed my head. I fell back asleep quickly because Christian wasn't being loud while getting ready.

I woke up and it was 11:30. Late, of course. "Ugh," I said and got up. I took a quick shower and then got dressed. When I walked into the living room, I found that everyone left already.

I grabbed my purse and struggled at walking with my crutches. "Fuck," I said and eventually just limped to the elevator. By the time I got outside of the building, the Uber was outside.

We got stuck in traffic and I was hoping I would make it on time. As we waited I looked at my phone.

Checking the time as we pulled up, it was 12:45. This is my luck of course. I got out of the car and grabbed my purse and crutches. My armpits were so sore from this already. It didn't take long to get into the park but walking down the steps with crutches was incredibly hard. When I found everyone, they all looked at me.
