"Good night, Abrianne."

Aaron greeted as soon as we reached my apartment. I smiled.

"Do you want to have some coffee, or something?"

"Sure."

A soon as I opened the door the Gru began to bark the hell out as soon as he saw Aaron.

"Gru! Behave!"

I shouted and got in. Aaron chuckled.
Did I do the right thing by calling him for a coffee.

"Your dog is cute."

He said taking a seat on the couch. I went to the kitchen after keeping my bag on the table.

I prepared the coffee and sat next to him. I didn't know what to say and there was a awkward silence between us and then he began with his small talk, which I never fancied.

"You are new in this city, right?"

"Yup."

"Do you live here all alone?"

"Yup but I have Gru with me so there's always a company."

Suddenly I heard the door bell rang.

"Abri! Are you there?"

Mai. Of course.

"I am coming."

I jolted up from my seat and turned towards Aaron.

"My neighbour. " I muttered.

I opened the door. She pushed me and got in and then  began with her chit chat.

"Carl is not at home so... I thought we should--"

She stopped as soon as she saw Aaron. Almost staring at him in a uncomfortable way. He stood up, which was quite formal.

"I am Aaron. Aaron Brooke. I work with Abrianne."

"Okay. I am Mai, Mai Henka."

She began to smile and which slowly converted into a smirk and I was pretty sure she had assumed something quite disturbing.

"It was nice to spent time with you Miss Abellson."

He shaked my hand and went away keeping the cup on the table.

"So, you never told me that you have a thing for blue-eyed dudes"

Mai said with her annoying eyebrow dance and smile.

"It's not like that. He is not even my friend."

"He is hot."

"He is not a cup of tea or coffee, Mai."

"Okay, Ms.Respect others. Forget about this Brooklyn Brooke and let's have some fun."

10:00, Mai went home as soon as Carlton arrived. One more night, I have to stay awake.

There was this silence, that dissipated all around my house. It didn't bother or frighten me, It gave me peace. I relished being alone. I enjoyed my own company, where I am the critic of my own life, there is no one to judge me, no one control my next step. I am free.

--

To spent my time, I thought of doing the dishes. I guess I won't fall asleep as I will stay in touch with water.

I wiped the plate and kept in the opposite table to the sink. I felt something wet. I glanced towards my hands.

My eyes would have fallen off at the sight.

My hands were covered with blood.

"Does it reminds you something?"
I

heard a rough voice say. I shivered, my heart pounded at the moment so hard that it could bust out of my chest.

I couldn't comprehend what was happening. All of a sudden a pair of hands grabbed my mouth. It's breathe fell over my neck. I gasped and tried to scream.

Someone muttered in my ears.

"Going away from Grydice island won't help you stay alive."

I opened my eyes to find I was lying on the kitchen floor, covered with sweat.

I didn't know what the fuck was happening with me. I can't take it anymore. I have to take pills to stay awake. It can be dangerous but I guess it's better than being haunted every day.

I stood up and grabbed my laptop. I heard the doorbell ring. Keeping the laptop back on the table. I went towards my door when my phone buzzed.

I opened the door. Once again it was a fucking box but it was quite bigger than the previous one.

I got down on my knees to open the box. It was a dress, a beautiful red dress, and a necklace.

I checked my phone, there was a message from an unknown number.

'I like to see you sleep but I am well aware of the fact that You won't, So wear this dress so that I can spend my night staring at you.'
