34|Sunday Morning
It's almost 2 weeks since I spoke to Alexander, more like kissed Alexander. I tried to avoid Mai as much as possible.
On Monday, while I was returning from the office, he was standing just outside the apartment, His eyes were all over me, but I ran away clutching my bag, like a scared kid. Every time I see him, I feel embarrassed, all because of that nasty kiss.
It was Sunday morning, I changed into a yellow tank top and my denim shorts after I had returned from the walk.
I gave Gru his pedigree and turned towards the kitchen to make my breakfast. I took the jam out of the fridge when the doorbell rang.
‘Please whoever you are, don't be Mai.’
If I tell her what I did, she is going to encourage me to go speak with Alexander. That is something which will make it worse than it already is. Damm, I ruined everything.
I placed the bottle of the jam beside the stove and walked towards the door, I placed a hand over the doorknob when the doorbell rang once again.
"Hey!"

He stood at my doorstep, wearing a black full sleeve t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
I stood on the doorsteps, placing a hand on its wall, blocking his way. I couldn't even look him in the eye.
"Hi! Do you want anything?" It's a bit harsh, but I am sorry, I can't help it.
"No, It's just, I was calling you but it always said you were busy." Of course, It did because I blocked your god damm number.
"Oh! I was a little busy this week with my office."
"So. Is that why? You ran away that day when you saw me."
Damn it, I had no explanation for that.
"No. It's just. I recalled that I forgot to feed Gru, so. I was in a bit of hurry."
I am an awful liar. He nodded with a different smile.
"So are you going to invite me in or something? "
No, I am not going to invite you.
"Yeah, Come in."
I stepped away from the door, and turned my back towards him, taking a deep sigh. He closed the door behind him and stood folding his arms and resting his back on the door.
"Are you ignoring me?" I turned around and kept my gaze down.
"No, I am not ignoring you, What made you think that?"
"Well... I wasn't born yesterday."
I signed and bit my lips because I didn't know what the hell, he is doing in my house on Sunday morning and How the hell should I react to his pathetic question.
"You do understand that I don't treat you like any other patient, you are unique than the others."
"What does that suppose to mean?"
"You know exactly what's that suppose to mean?"
"No. I don't. I don't have any impression of what you are speaking about."
He looked intense, I never saw him like this before, most of the time he is either smiling or it's blank. What point does he want to make anyway?
He unfolded his arms and advanced towards me, When he was close enough for me to feel his breath on my face, he asked.
"Why. Are. You ignoring me?"
"Look, I already said that I am not avoiding you, then why are you going on and on about the same damn thing."
"Then Why are you ignoring Mai?"
"Let's just say it's none of your business."
"Abrianna, I want to know the truth."
"Why are you yelling at me and you want the truth so here it is, I kissed you and you didn't kiss me back, You made me feel like a damn idiot Alexander and yes! I was ignoring you because I ruined everything between us."
He backed away and placed his hands on his hips, he ran a hand over his face, "So, that's what you think. You ran away that day without letting me say a word and now you are overreacting over the fact that I was being naive in the whole situation, but the truth is that..you didn't give me enough time to express how I felt."
What the hell just happened! So I am an idiot.
I glanced away mortified and ashamed. 'I am such a freak, Now I can say that I ruined everything.'
There was a strange silence between both of us, I couldn't look at him, I covered my face with my hand, but suddenly I was forced to turn my gaze towards Alexander when I heard,
"I like you a lot, Abrianna, I do."
