Chapter 16

Cora's POV

I told jace that I was pregnant and he stormed out. "I'll go talk to him," Emilio got up and left as well. "We'll all be here to support you cora," Luna hugged me. "The only person we need hates me now," I cried. "He doesn't hate you hun. It's just a shock to him. You should have seen Damon when I told him about Ryan," Luna smiled down at me. "How did dad react when he found out?" Ryan asked Luna. "I was so excited. As we had Elijah and the twins we hoped for a girl. But nope, we got you, you little shit," Damon laughed. "Dad," Ryan gasped very dramatically. "You are a pain in the ass brother," Elijah laughed. "Just like you mum. A pain in my ass," Damon glared at Luna playfully. "Nothing new," she shrugged. "Jace is scared babe, for you both to be sixteen it's a lot to take in. He's probably getting a whole speech from Emilio right now. I know your scared as well, ask willow, Luna and Lexi they will tell you that it's a scary thing finding out you have to take care of someone else," rose told me. "I was on my own for the first three months of my pregnancy with Elijah, dipshit cheated on me so and me being a stubborn bitch blocked him out. It's terrifying when you find out but as soon as you see the screen when you have your first scan it's so surreal. But when he or she actually comes, it's the best feeling to become a mum. Both you and jace feel scared which is understandable but the main thing is that you have each other. Like I had Damon, willow had Emilio, my mum had my dad, Lexi had Henry and most of all, we had each other. We are all a family in this house and it will stay like that no matter what. Jace is like a little brother to me so that makes you family now. Just remember, your not alone at all," Luna smiled at me. "Thank you," I cried again. Luna hugged me and slowly everyone else came in: one massive group his occurred in the kitchen. After a while, I heard someone come into the kitchen. Everyone parted from me and jace stood there and looked at me for a moment. All of a sudden, he walked over to me and picked me up. He crashed his lips into mine, it was soft and slow. "I'm so sorry cora," Jace sighed when he put me down. "Why did you leave?" I asked. "Because I'm scared shitless, I'm am absolutely terrified but as long as I have you I know we can do it together," he leaned down and kissed me again. "I'm scared to jace. I don't know what to do," I looked down. Jace lifted my chin so I was looking at him again. "I will support you no matter what your decision is," he gave me a small smile. "I love you jace Christian," I smiled. "I love you cora hope," Jace leaned down again and kissed me. I heard small sniffles come from behind me and jace so I looked up. I saw willow, Luna, Rose, Violet, Connie, Lynn, Jess and Amber all crying. "Why are you all crying?" Jace asked. "Because that was some romance movie shit right there," Connie managed to get out. Salvatore was hugging rose, Damon with Luna, nick with Connie and the girls had all the other guys hugging them. "Hugo your a grown ass man, why are you crying?" Jace chuckled a bit. "Because I'm one emotional mother fucker," Hugo laughed through the tears. "We'll do this together," jace looked back at me. "Together," I smiled.

The day went by fairly quick. Jace and I spent a lot of the day on the swing in the back garden. We all had dinner then everyone went off on their own. I'm pretty sure Jess and griffin hooked up from the way they were looking at each other all day. Me and jace were laying in bed watching mamma Mia here we go again. "What should we call him or her?" I asked. "Your going to keep it?" Jace had wide eyes and a surprised facial expression. "I love you and I'm not letting go of you just yet. Now we have a baby on the way you have no escape," I joked a little. "I'm not planning on going anywhere," Jace gave me a huge grin. "Good. So what names?" I sat up. "I don't know. You pick a girls name and I pick a boys," Jace shrugged. "Ok," I layed back down to think. "What's your mums name?" I asked. "Which one?" Jace looked at me. "Your birth giver," I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Roxy," he sighed. "And obviously you see rose as a mother as well," I stated. "Yeah. Rose has been more of a mum to me in the last two years than my actual mum has in 16," jace closed his eyes for a moment before re-opening them. "Let's just think of names for our baby. He or she is ours and nobody else's. If they don't like the name then they don't have to be in ours or our baby's life," Jace cuddled me. "Your right," I sighed. "Go to sleep baby," Jace kissed the top of my head. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over my body.

Jace's POV

After I heard Cora's breathing level, I got up and went into the kitchen for a drink. "Why are you drinking when your underage young man?" Nick came up behind me. "I take you and Connie are staying here tonight," I sighed. "Yeah. Anthony is babysitting the twins as I have a run tomorrow," nick got a glass and filled it. "Sweet Jack Daniels," he smiled. "Why are you down here anyway?" Nick turned to me. "I can't sleep. I'm to worried about cora. I remember the story from when Luna and Damon had Elijah. Luna's psycho ex kidnapped him. I'm scared that cora will think I'm dead but I'm not it's because Blake is jealous," I told him. "We won't let history repeat itself," Nick put his hand on my shoulder. "What if I mess up and cora takes my kid away from me? What if she leaves me to raise it on my own? I have so many fears nick and I don't know how to get rid of them," I let a few tears roll down. "Cora wouldn't leave you jace. Have you seen the way she looks at you. You could be across the room from her and she would still look up at you with so much love in her eyes. She looks at you now Connie looks at me," nick sighed. "Cora looks at you how Rose looks at Salvatore. How Luna is with Damon. I would say willow and Emilio but you know what they are like with the arguments," nick chuckled. "What was it like when you had Anthony?" I asked then took a sip of my drink. "Shitting myself. Not literally, but I was I scared. Me and Connie both were. Connie was 20 when she had my son, we went for her first scan and the doctor thought I was connie's old man. The face she pulled when we told her I was the father of the baby and connie's boyfriend," nick laughed. "I'm 16 years old, in a gang and I have no job or money," I looked down. "Emilio will help when you need it. Rose and Salvatore will be the first ones to put money in your pocket same with Luna and Damon. Don't forget that the guys and girls will help out," nick sighed. "Let me tell you something jace," nick broke the silence. I looked at him as he spoke. "If your scared about being a dad, don't. It'll be amazing when the baby is here. When you hold your little one, it'll be the best feeling. As for cora, she won't be leaving anytime soon and I can promise that. By the time your 30 you will have settled down, got a garage to fix cars. Don't forget you've always wanted kids so maybe this is the opportunity to take it. From what I have heard you and cora have very similar dreams. Don't think about the bad, focus on the good. Don't let anyone tell you that you will be a bad dad, not even yourself because the way you are with beks and Corey, I'm surprised people haven't asked if they're yours. Just remember Jace, be positive. Your Jace motherfucking Black, one of the most intimidating people in this gang and to those outside of it," nick laughed. "Thanks nick," I smiled. "So, what do you want?" He asked. "I don't care. As long as both Cora and the baby are healthy when the time comes, I'm not bothered," I shrugged. "Wise answer. Any names?" Nick looked at me. "For a girl I thought if Arorah hope after Cora's middle name and for a boy Kieran Jace," I replied. "Arorah hope and Kieran Jace, I like it," nick smiled. "I was only supposed to think of a boys name but I couldn't help but think for a girls. I'm kind of hoping for a girl but if I get a boy I'll still be happy," I smiled to myself. It all seems so real now, damn, I'm going to be a dad. "I'm happy for you jace. You've come a long way since you got here, I'm proud of you," nick gave me a hug. "Thanks nick," I sighed. "Back to bed you. Get some sleep, looks like you need it," nick chuckled. "Night nick," I said. I put my glass on the table and went back to mine and Cora's room. I slid in next to her and pulled her close to me. "Hello in there little munchkin. I know you don't really have ears yet but I'm still going to talk to you. Me and your mum are really excited to meet you little one. I'm really scared about you coming but we will get through it. Me and your mum love bambino," I leaned down and kissed Cora's belly. I moved cora so she was laying on her side with her back against my chest. "I love you," I whispered and kissed Cora's cheek. "I love you to," Cora squeezed my hand. I smiled and wrapped my hands around cora and placed them on her belly. Soon after I fell asleep with my family near me.
