Damon's POV
I took my son to Emilio's office and to wait for him and jace. "What the hell do you think your doing?" I yelled at Elijah. "He shouldn't call me a pussy then," he shouted back. "Grow up Elijah. You are 16 years old and live in a gang house. You shouldn't be punching someone that intimidates over 1000 people. I'm really surprised that Jace didn't blow your brains out," I was furious with him. "He doesn't scare me. He shouldn't scare you either," Elijah glared at me. "You know what Emilio's like?" I asked. "Well yeah," he shrugged. "Jace is way worse. He killed a boy without a second thought. As soon someone makes one wrong move in a deal, Jace shoots them down. I suggest you stay on his good side before he kills you in front of your mum," I pointed at him. "I'd rather annoy the shit out of him," Elijah stated. "Listen to me Elijah, I am your dad. Do not fuck off Jace because he won't think twice about shooting you. And trust me, he doesn't miss," I warned him. Just then, Luna walked in. "Jace won't move from the living room. You two will have to go down," Luna sighed. "Ok," we both replied. "Elijah I am warning you. You could have been killed. I'd rather not lose a son. Stay on his good side, do I make myself clear," Luna glared at him. "No mum. If I go down he's coming with me," Elijah spat out. "Next run, your going with Jace. Then you can see what he can actually do," Luna teared up the left. "After we get this done you will apologise to your mother," I grabbed his arm and dragged him downstairs.
Jace's POV
Once everyone had cleared off Emilio kept his gaze on me. "We will wait for Elijah to get down here then we will have a civil conversation," he told me. "No promises," I muttered. "What was that?" Emilio turned to me. "No promises," I said louder. "Your really starting to push my last nerve Jace," Emilio shook with rage. "He shouldn't get on mine then should he," I glared at him. All of a sudden, Emilio pulled out his gun and aimed it at me. "Go on, pull the trigger. You know I'll gladly welcome death," I kept my facial expression the same. I had been in the same position before with a gun at my head so I wasn't that much scared. And I knew for a fact Emilio wouldn't shoot me. "How is it you know exactly which buttons to push when it comes to me?" Emilio lowered his gun and put it back in the waist band of his jeans. "It's my job to be ruthless. I can read people even if they think they have blocked out the emotions," I told him. After a while, Elijah and Damon came down. "Sit down," Emilio ordered. Damon, Emilio and Elijah sat down while I stayed stood up. "I said sit down," Emilio looked at me. "I heard you the first time. I'd rather stand up than sit down," I kept my hands in fists so I couldn't grab my gun. "Give me your gun Jace," Damon got up in front of me. I took it out from behind me and gave it to him. "What is your problems. Today was supposed to be a good day. But no, like always you two fuck tards decide to ruin it," Emilio states. "Shouldn't have called me a pussy then," Elijah tried to look pissed off even though there was fear in his eyes. It wasn't fear from Emilio, it was fear from me. I scared Elijah. "Shouldn't be one then I wouldn't call you it," I shrugged. "Grow up jace. Your going to be a dad," he stood up and pointed at me. "I have grown up. I don't know how you haven't seen it. The person in this room that has to grow up is you," I laughed darkly. "Me? Have you seen yourself?" Elijah chuckled. "We're the same age mate. Don't pull that shit with me," I told him. Venom lacing both our voices. "We may be the same age but that don't mean shit and you know it. Your still a man child that throws a tantrum every time something doesn't go your way," he yelled. "Don't fucking yell at me Elijah. It's a good fucking job your dad took my gun," I shouted. "Your so delusional. Listen to yourself jace. You can't kill me," Elijah laughed. I grabbed his wrist and held both of them down. His back was against my chest as I had my other hand around his neck. Emilio and Damon both shot up watching me closely. "One small, sharp twist little Elijah and you will be dead. I don't need a weapon like some people in gangs. I can use my bare hands. Don't test me mate, I won't hesitate to snap this small, fragile neck of yours," I whispered but loud enough for everyone to hear. "Jace let go of him. Let's go for a drink in my office," Emilio tried to be calm. "What if I snap," I pull Elijah's head to the side. He let out a small cry. "Dad," Elijah called out. "Jace let go of him now. Don't do something you will regret later," Damon spoke up. "It'll be nice to hear the crack of a neck breaking," I shrugged. Emilio whispered something to Damon and he left the room. "Jace, let's be rational here. Let him go and we will go for a drink. I know how much you like a JD (Jack Daniels)," Emilio smirked a little. "Not as much as I like the noise of a neck breaking," now it was my turn to smirk. "Let go of me," Elijah squirmed. I made my grip tighter which caused him to stay still. Just then, cora walked through the door. "Jace let go of Elijah now," she demanded. I saw her shaking and fear in her eyes. It was like she was scared of me. I let Elijah fall to the floor but kept on glaring at her. "Jace calm down," Cora took a deep breath. "You scared of me cora? Do I make your heart beat fast from the sight of me?" I asked her. "No," she said. "No? That's bullshit cora and you know it. I can see the fear I your eyes. I can see your hands shaking. The day I killed Callum is still locked in you head. I've not only killed Callum, cora. I have killed hundreds of people in two years. What's not to fear," I knew I had murder written over my face. "Because I'm carrying you babies," she whispered. "Babies that shouldn't be brought into this world. Babies that will have targets on their backs because of me. You and them are my weakness cora. They shouldn't have been created," I yelled. It pained me so bad to say that but I had to get cora away from me. I was dangerous and she would have been hurt if she stayed around. If me and cora stayed together, not only would it be her that's in danger, it would be our kids and I couldn't let myself do that. "You don't mean that," she shook her head. I could already see the tears forming in her eyes. "I'm a cold hearted killer that will turn in seconds. It doesn't matter who it is, I almost killed Elijah. What if it was you or one of the twins. Your all better off without me. So why don't you stay the hell away from me. I can look out for myself. Kids and a girl was never supposed to happen," I felt my heart break as the words left my mouth. Cora walked up to me and started shoving me so I stumbled backwards a little every time. "I've just wasted a month of my life on you. I still stayed with you even when you killed someone right in front of me. I stuck around so I could be with you, because I love you and nothing will change that. Obviously I was just a quick fuck to please yourself then ditch when I'm no good anymore," Cora shouted. "That's exactly how it is," I muttered. No emotion on my face or in my voice. Just then, a stinging sensation hit me on my cheek as my head snapped to the side. "Did you just hit me?" I glared at her. I saw fear flash in her eyes and her breathing get faster. I would never do anything to harm cora, especially when she's carrying my kids. Even when they're born, I wouldn't lay a hand on her. "I never want to see you again. You will never get to see your kids grow up," Cora shoved me once more then walked out of the room. I knew for a fact she was going to pack and leave to live with her dad again. It hurt me so much to make her cry but it was better to push her away than keep her around. The pain in my chest made me want to cry but I never cried in front of people so I stormed to Emilio's office and took multiple gulps of the strong liquor of Jack Daniels. "What was that about?" Chris stood by the door. He came in and shut us so we could some what have a private conversation. "Cora is better off without me. Same with the twins. All I'll do is put targets on their backs. If I let cora go now then they all have a better chance of living long lives. That girl deserves better then some heartless killer who won't think twice before killing someone. Hell I killed a guy from school right in front of her. SHES MY WEAKNESS AND ALL ILL DO IS GET HER KILLED," I yelled. Tears streamed down my face for the first time in 3 years. I took one more gulp of Jack Daniels before throwing it against the door. "Cora needs someone to love and protect her. And that person isn't me," I cried. "Yes it is jace. I've never seen my little girl so happy in such a long time. She had smiled more in one month than she had in 12 years. Jace you both make each other happy, why did you push her away?" Chris asked. "I can't sit back and be the cause of her death. I would never forgive myself if that happened. I'm sorry for getting her pregnant but for her safety, please take her somewhere else. Another place, I don't want cora and our kids to die because I'm to selfish to keep them around. I'd rather be miserable for the rest of my life knowing that cora and my kids are safe than waiting for someone to kill them and regret everything. Please Chris, if not for me, for cora. I beg you Chris, take cora and my kids somewhere safe," I fell on my knees while tears kept on free falling. "Please," my voice cracked. "Yeah. I'll take cora and the twins to the country side. I will send you updates on her and the babies. Jace your a good guy no matter what you have done. I will accept you to be with my little girl. Good bye jace," Chris sighed then left. After a while I heard a car drive away and I knew cora had gone.
