Cora's POV
"Hey babe. I'm going out to get the kids some more baby food and Mitch ice cream. Do you want anything?" I walked into the living room. "No thanks. Me and Emilio are going to have a guys day so rose is looking after the twins and Mitch," Jace told me. "Ok. I'll see you later then," I kissed him. I turned to Arorah and Kieran giving them a kiss on their heads. "You be a good boy for rose ok. I won't be gone long alright," I kneeled down to Mitch. "I promise," he smiled. Mitch hugged me as I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his head. "Love you all. See you in a bit," I called out and left.
When I finished putting the shopping bags into the car, I closed the door and turned around. "You are a gorgeous one aren't you," a tall beefy man stood behind me. "I'm sorry do I know you?" I asked. "Nope. You either come with me willingly or I'll drag you out of this car park myself," he threatened. "I have kids to get back to," I backed away slowly. "Oh I know. But my boss wants you for himself so again, you come willingly or I'll drag your cute ass out," he stepped closer to me. "Please. I really need to go. I have my boyfriend who gets uneasy and my kids," I stopped when my back hit my car. "I know jace. But unless he wants to die, he won't come for you," the guys lunged at me. He grabbed my shoulders and hit me against my car. Just then, everything went blurry the black.
Jace's POV
After Cora left, I had an uneasy feeling. It was like I had to stay home for something. A feeling that I couldn't place. People always say 'trust your gut'. Yeah, I never believed in that stuff. But the feeling was so off, like something was telling me not to go out. "You ready?" Emilio pulled me from my thoughts. "Sorry. I'm going to stay home. I have this uneasy feeling about something. I don't know what but I just do," I explained. "What about?" He asked. "I don't know. I have no clue if it's the kids or Cora. There's just a feeling," I replied. "Always trust your gut. Maybe call Cora later. My mum is here with the kids. Same with Damon and the guys. I'm 100% sure the kids will be fine," Emilio sighed. "Come on. We haven't done anything in a long time," he begged. "Fine," I groaned and rolled my eyes. I kissed Arorah, Kieran and Mitch goodbye and left.
Emilio pulled up to a weird office looking place. "I have a know someone who works here. They have great tech knowledge and I'm thinking about getting him to join the gang," Emilio told me. "I need you here with me for an extra opinion," he added. "Ok," I sighed. We both got out of the car and went inside. "Emilio. How's it going?" A woman smiled at him. She was older and seemed like she knew him well. "Hey Brody. I'm here to talk to Arthur," Emilio smiled back. "Of course. He's a great tech guy," she started typing on her laptop. "How's Remi? Haven't seen him at the house for a while? More like a couple years," Emilio sounded uncomfortable. "He's good. I thought it was weird to. Remi is acting strange. Like he knows something but won't tell me," the woman told him. "I'll call him," Emilio nods slightly then backs away. "How can I help you today?" The woman looked at me with a smile. "I'm here to see Arthur. With my boss," I replied. "You must be jace. I'm Brody. I'm one of Roses friends from school. Remi is roses twin," she told me. "I heard about that. Rose wants me to meet him but he wouldn't come to the house," I awkwardly stood looking around the room. "How old are you? And how long have you been with Emilio's gang?" Brody asked. "I'm 17 and been in the gang for 3 years," I replied. "Ah, your the one that scares the living shits out of other gangs in England. That Jace," she points at me for a second. "I thought you would have been older as you are one of the most feared," Brody added. "No. Uh, Emilio just taught me well," I laughed nervously. "Remi said there's another gang in England. He doesn't know who it is but they're here. Also he's been keeping an eye on Harrison. Says that for the last year Harrison has been watching this girl. Remi doesn't know who the girl is but he's close to getting her. If not already has her," Emilio jumped in. The same feeling I got this morning came back, I started thing it would be Cora since Harrison said that he took a liking to her. "We need to go find Cora," I paused. "I think Harrison has got her," anger built up in me. My jaw was clenched and my hands were in tight fists as my knuckles turned white. "Ok, let's go," Emilio's voice laced with worry. We both ran out of the building and into a the car. We sped off back home so Ronnie could track Cora's phone. She always keeps it in her bra for some reason so I know people wouldn't look there for her phone.
