Jace's POV

It has been a couple days since I got shot. Whenever cora called me, I kept it quiet so she wouldn't worry about me. The only thing I was worried about was cora and me being in the city. "Jace dinner," rose called. "Coming," I shouted back. I jogged down to the kitchen to see everyone there. "Hey guys," I smiled. "What's got you in a happy mood?" Nick laughed a little. "Nada. I'm just bored," I shrugged and sat down. "Have you spoken to cora today?" Rose asked as she placed a plate of food in front of me. "No, if she doesn't call later I'll do it," I replied. We all ate laughing and joking with each other, until I got a call. "Is that cora?" Luna questioned me. "No, it's chris. Hello?" I answered. "You need to get here ASAP. Cora's water broke," Chris yelled. "On my way," I hung up. "Rose we gotta go," I breathed out. "What's going on?" Salvatore looked at me confused. "I'm going to meet my kids," I smiled. Me and rose immediately got up and ran out of the house. We got into my car and I sped off. "This is really happening," Rose huffed. "It's gone by real quick. We sat in silence as I drove to the hospital near Chris and cora. "Do you know the names that cora has chosen?" Rose broke the silence. "Uh no. We didn't really talk about it," I told her. When we got on to the motorway, there was traffic. "Of fucking course there is traffic," I shouted. "What's wrong?" Emilio asked as I called him. "I need you to get the police to get all the cars off the motorway," I started getting angry as I couldn't get to cora. "On it," he hung up. About 20 minutes later I heard sirens and cars started moving out of the way. One car drove up to me and said if I drive behind them, we will get to the hospital quicker. I nodded then we drove off.

It took us two hours to reach cora and I started freaking out. "Which way do I go?" I looked at rose as we sped walked through the hospital getting weird looks from everyone. "This way," rose pulled my arm. We got into a lift, once the doors opened, I saw a reception area. "How can I help you today?" A woman smiled at me. "Uh, I'm looking for a girl called Cora James," I told her. "We don't have anyone here by that name," she replied. "It's this hospital isn't it?" I turned to rose. "Rose," I snapped her out of her head. "Cora black," she turned to the lady. "Yep. Having twins?" She asked. "Yeah. I'm the father," I breathed out. "Ok, room 436," the lady said. I thanked her then ran to find the room. Rose was hot on my trail as I looked at each door number. "Jace this way," rose dragged me. I saw Chris sat outside the room and his head shot up when he heard me. "Go in now. Cora wants you in there," he opened the door and I went in. I saw cora and didn't hesitate to run to her side.

Cora's POV

I woke up having really bad pains. Me and my dad guessed it was just braxton hicks as I still had three weeks until the due date. We went about our day like usual, breakfast, lunch, watching tv, games and whatnot. My dad had made us tacos for dinner. At around 6pm, I stood up to stretch. All of a sudden I felt as if water was going down my legs. "Dad," my eyes widened. "Que pasa nena?"- what's wrong baby girl? My dad asked. "I think my water just broke," just then a contraction hit. My dad was by my side in an instant helping me get to the car. "I want jace," I breathed out through the pain and tears. My dad pulled out his phone as he drove to the hospital. "You need to get here ASAP. Cora's water broke," my dad yelled, obviously stressed about the situation. "He's in his darling," my dad looked at me for a second. After a while we got to the hospital and I got in. "Name?" A woman tried to hurry things. "Cora, Cora Black," I winced as another contraction came. Just then, nurses came to me and took me into a room. "Would you like medication for the pain?" One of them asked me. "No, I want to do this naturally," I replied. "If that's what you want," she nodded. It hurt like hell but I wanted it, the thought of jace and my baby's kept me going. "Where's jace? I don't want him to miss this," I held my dads hand. "He'll be here soon darling," he told me. "Sir if you won't be here when cora gives birth then we need you to go outside," a nurse told him. "Ok. I'll be right outside of the door nena," my dad kissed my forehead and left. After a while, the door opened and jace rushed to my side. "I'm here, it's ok," Jace held my hand and moved my hair from my face. "Don't leave me jace," I cried. "Nunca,"-never, Jace smiled at me.

It had been a couple hours since jace got to the hospital. "Ok cora, I'm going to see how many centimetres dilated you are," a nurse pulled gloves on. I nodded and she checked. The woman pulled on a mask as two more people came in with stuff. "Let's have two babies," she told me. I tightened my grip on Jace's hand and looked at him. I could feel my eyes widen as we looked at each other. "You got this cora. Soon we'll have our little boy and girl with us. You can do it," Jace leaned closer to me and kissed me. "Alright cora, on three I need you to push ok, 1...2...3 push," the lady told me. I pushed as much as I could. "Take a breather a second," the lady said. I took a couple deep breaths before she told me to push again. "Ok, I can see the head. One more big push hun and then the first ones here," she caressed me. I squeezed my eyes shut while Jace held my hand and kissed my head. As I pushed, Jace whispered sweet things to me. "You got this. Think about our little ones," Jace smiled. Just then, my cries were replaced by a baby. "You got yourself a little boy first," the woman smiled. She cut the umbilical cord and wrapped him up in a small towel and passed him to another person to get him washed, weighed and dressed. "Ok cora, once more and then baby number two will come," the woman told me. I took a deep breath and pushed when she told me to. After a couple minutes, I breathed out and another baby cry filled the room. "A baby girl," she smiled cutting the umbilical cord and wrapping her up. Once again, another person took my baby girl while the nurse cleaned me up. She helped me to the shower so I could freshen up while Jace stayed with the twins. After my shower, I got dressed and went to lay back on my now clean hospital bed. When I got there, Jace was sat on the chair holding both of the baby's. I could see his lips moving as he whispered to them as tears rolled down his cheeks. "She looks like you," Jace said but didn't take his eyes off them. "He looks like you," I smiled as I looked over Jace's shoulder. "Cora, when I got here your name wasn't James," Jace stated. "We aren't together and I'm naming them after you so I changed mine so we could all share it," I explained. "What did your dad say about it?" He asked. "Was a little disappointed but understood," I replied and sat up on the bed. Jace stood up and handed me the little boy. "What names have you chosen?" Jace wiped his eyes as he sat next to me with our baby girl. "Kieran Jace and Arorah hope," I smiled as I kept my eyes on my little man. "You chose the names I thought of," Jace sighed in relief. "I wanted them to have something from you as I don't think we will be together anymore," I started crying. Jace layed Arorah in the small cot the nurses had brought in then took Kieran from me and placed him next to his sister. He came back over to me and pulled me into a hug. "You have no idea how much I've wanted to come here and hold you. It hurt me so much to say those things to you and it pains me to see you cry because I was a dick. Cora I only wanted to keep you safe because of what I do," Jace held me close to him. "Did you ever think that we might be more safe with you than anyone else?" I sobbed. "I know. I regret everything I did and said. Will you ever forgive me?" Jace tightened his hold on me. "If I didn't forgive you already, I wouldn't have my dad get you here," I pulled away and smiled at him. He leaned down and kissed me, it was soft and passionate but it wouldn't turn into anything else. "I love you cora hope Black," Jace placed his forehead on mine. "I love you to jace Christian Black," I giggled a little. "The doctor told me to say, when you get back we need to feed the twins," Jace smiled. "Ok, I have bottles and formula in the baby bag," I told him. Jace got up and walked over to the bag pulling out the tin of powder and two small bottles. "How do you do this?" He asked. "You boil the water for a couple seconds. Fill both bottles to the number two then put in two scoops of the milk. When you've done that, put the lids on and shake it," I told him. "Right," he raised one eye. He walked over to the small kettle we had and filled it with water. "Ok you can stop it now," I called out. Jace picked up the kettle and poured the water into both bottles. "Now what?" He asked. "Open the tin and get the blue spoon thingy. Then put two scoops into each bottle but make sure you make the scoops level. Use a butter knife and scrape it over the top of the spoon," I replied. Jace did as I said then put on the lids. He shook both bottles as he walked over to me. "Congratulations daddy you made the prince and princess their first bottle," I teased him. "How do I know when to give it to them?" Jace looked at me. "I'll feed Arorah as I haven't held her yet. But you put a little bit on your wrist, if it burns you have to wait until it's cool enough for their mouth," I explained. Jace handed me one bottle and then passed me Arorah then sat down with Kieran. I waited a couple minutes before seeing if it was ok to give her. "I can't tell," Jace got my attention. "Put some on my wrist," I rolled my eyes and smiled. I put out my hand and he put a little of the milk on my skin. "It's ok to give him," I smiled. I cradled Arorah as I put the bottle in her mouth. She immediately started drinking it as well as Kieran. "Both way like you dad," I muttered. "They do not," Jace said like he was offended but the smile told me otherwise. "Sure baby. They don't guzzle it like you scoff down food," I laughed lightly. Jace just smiled and shook his head looking down at his son. It was a good, painful, but good day.
