Chapter 28

Cora's POV

After me and jace finished feeding Kieran and Arorah, we went back into the garden. The kids were still in the pool laughing and playing. The adults were laying on loungers soaking up the sun. Just then, I saw elijah move closer to Tara. He put his hand on her cheek and connected their lips. My elbow nudged Jace as he looked where I was. "Go on Elijah," he shouted. All the adults started cheering and whistling at them. "Fuck you jace," Elijah shouted back when he pulled away from Tara. "First kiss?" I asked her. She looked down and nodded. "Don't worry, it's in our family to be excited about this type of stuff," rose shrugged. "Yes Elijah, that's my boy," Damon smiled. I saw Elijah whisper something to Tara and they both got out of the pool. "Is someone going to lose their v-card?" Jace laughed. "Nope, getting a drink," Elijah replied. "Sure," me and jace said together. We both sat down with rose and Salvatore letting Kieran and Arorah walk around. "They've grown up to fast," I pouted. "You can have another if you want," Jace smirked. "Nope. No more until your at least 20," Salvatore jumped in. "Your no fun," Jace muttered. "I'm not stopping you from doing it, just don't get cora pregnant again," he shrugged. "It's better without anything," Jace muttered. "Don't sleep together then," Salvatore said. "He's not wrong though," Damon spoke up. "Oh I know. But they're 17, just wait a couple years," Salvatore reasoned. "Fine," Jace rolled his eyes. All of a sudden we all heard something squeaking. "Can you hear that?" I smiled and looked at everyone. Me, Jace, Damon and Luna all shot up and ran inside the house. We ran up the stairs near Elijah's room. "Elijah," I heard Tara. "My baby boys all grown up," Luna started tearing up. "Fuck," we heard Elijah. "At least he's not a virgin anymore," Jace shrugged. "Let's hope he used protection," Damon sighed. After a while, we all went back into the garden, me and jace were greeted by little people running around. "Hello my gorgeous children," I smiled and looked at them. "Mama, dada," they both giggled. I picked up Arorah while Jace got Kieran. "Hello my son," Jace smiled. "Has my grandson been de-flowered?" Rose got excited. "My baby is no longer a baby anymore," Luna started to cry again. "Don't cry babe. We still have the twins, Ryan, Adrian and Corey," Damon hugged her. "Well, this might be a while," Jace chuckled.

About an hour later, Elijah and Tara came back down. "Where's mum?" He asked looking at Damon. "She went to sleep because she's been crying," he replied. "What? Why?" Elijah freaked out. "Go talk to her. Alright," Damon told him. Elijah nodded then left. "What are they exactly talking about?" I asked. "It's Luna being Luna," he shrugged. "Oh," was all that came out. "Tara play with us in the pool," Rebekah called her. She was with Thomas and Corey playing. Tara joined everyone in the pool again and played with beks, Corey and Thomas. After a while, Thomas walked over to me and jace looking sad. "What's up bud?" Jace bent down to him. "I don't have a mum and dad," Thomas looked at the ground. "You do mate. They hurt you so I'm taking care of you from now on," Jace sighed. "We can be your mum and dad if you like," Luna and Damon offered. "Why didn't they like me?" Thomas cried. "They only did that because I left and they couldn't do it to me. I'm sorry they did this to you but I'm here now. You do have a mum and dad, they're just not here," Jace hugged him. "We'll be his parents. We can adopt him," Luna got Jace's attention. "I don't know Luna. He's my little brother," he sighed. "Maybe it would be good for him. He will have Corey that's the same age as him. And Thomas you would have someone to call mum and dad," rose suggested. "Yeah I know," Jace looked down. "Babe, why don't we let Thomas decide," I spoke up. "Thomas would you like Luna and Damon to be your new mum and dad?" Jace asked him. "But I won't have you," Thomas sobbed. Jace picked him up and took him inside. "He's such a sensitive kid," Lexi sighed. "Me and Henry could do it," she added. "Or me and Emilio," willow joined. "I've always wanted a son," Jess joined in. "Before we come to any conclusions, let jace talk to him," Salvatore reasoned. Would jace give up his little brother to someone else?

Jace's POV

I picked up Thomas and took him into the kitchen. We sat at the table on our own so I could talk to him. "Thomas, I want you to make the choice," I told him. "But I won't have you," he repeated. "Yes you will. It's only so you have a mum and dad. I'll be staying in this house until I can get a place of my own for cora and the twins. Thomas if you want a mum and dad you can choose anyone you want. I'm sure Emilio and willow would love it, Lexi and Henry could take you in, but with them two you would have to move in with them. Luna and Damon would take you in as well. It's your choice to make," I explained. "I don't want anyone else. I want you jace," Thomas sobbed. I pulled him close to me so he could cry into my chest. "You will have me. No one will stop you from seeing me, or me coming to see you. I promise mate, I'll never leave you," I hugged him close. "I want to be like beks and Corey," Thomas cried. "I know mate. I want two parents as well. Me and cora both know how you feel," I rocked him. "Am I not good enough for them?" He asked. "Don't think like that. Your a good kid Thomas. Remember that you will always have me here, same with cora. She'll be here for you. Same with Kieran and Arorah," I told him. "You pick who you want to be your new mum and dad. Don't feel like it's forced," I stroked his hair while I comforted him. "Who got you upset?" I asked. "Beks asked Tara about her mum and dad. Then she asked me about mine and told her that I don't have any," Thomas replied. "Ok. Come on, you want to go see rose and Salvatore?" I stood up. Thomas looked at me and smiled. When I got to the door, I put Thomas down to let him run. "Dada," I heard a small voice behind me. I turned around to see Arorah walking towards me. "Hey tesoro," I smiled and picked her up. "Arorah?" Cora called out. "Should we scare mummy?" I laughed a little. "Yeah," Arorah giggled. Just then, Rose, Lexi, Luna, willow, Emilio, Henry and Salvatore was all looking. "Thomas where's Jace?" Cora asked him. "I don't know," he replied. Thomas ran back to play with Rebekah and Corey. I laughed and put Arorah back on the floor. "Stay here by daddy alright," I told her. She nodded her head and sat on my foot. "What's wrong babe?" I shouted. I kept my poker face on so I wouldn't give it away. "I can't find Arorah," she told me. "Kierans with Javier," Cora added. "Calm down babe. I'm sure she hasn't gone far," I tried my hardest not to laugh. "Jace," Salvatore called me. "Yeah," I looked at him. He nodded to my foot where Arorah was sat clinging on to me. I raised my hand to my lips signalling for him to be quiet. Salvatore walked over to rose and hugged her from behind. I saw his lips move and Rose look at my foot. She sighed in relief but kept her mouth shut from cora. "Arorah," Cora yelled. "Babe. Calm down alright," I walked over to her. She hugged me and started crying. Cora didn't even notice Arorah on my foot. "Why are you crying baby?" I asked her. "I can't lose my baby again," she sobbed. "Cora, it's ok," I chuckled and pulled her back. "Why are you laughing?" Cora wiped her eyes. "Mama," Arorah spoke up. Cora looked down and saw her on my foot. "Oh my god. You scared me baby girl," Cora picked her up and held her. Arorah pulled back and kissed her mums cheek. "I hate you," Cora pushed my shoulder a little. "What?" I laughed. "I had a freaking panic attack because I couldn't find out daughter. Shit Jace. What if you didn't have her?" She cried while holding on to Arorah. "Dada," Kieran pulled at my shorts. I picked him up and looked back at cora. "Baby I'm sorry. It was only going to be a laugh," I sighed. "It's not a joke when she was taken from us. I can't let that happen again. Don't ever do that to me again jace," she held Arorah tightly. "Baby I'm sorry. I didn't think," I went to hug her. Cora moved away from me and put Arorah down. "Go play with daks," she told her. Arorah ran off and went to the edge of the pool where Dakota grabbed her so she could play. Cora walked off towards the house, I quickly put Kieran down telling him to get Javier. I ran after Cora into the kitchen and pulled on her arm. "Don't touch me jace," she pulled her arm away from me. "Cora," I raised my voice a little. "What jace?" She shouted. "Don't raise your voice at me cora. It was a joke," I clenched my hands to fists. "I will do what I want jace. I'm ever so sorry if I'm over reacting. But someone took our daughter when she was a day old. I was so scared jace. And then you got shot. Don't tell me what to do when I'm scared out of my mind thinking someone is going to take my little girl," Cora yelled. "What more can I say cora? I've already said sorry," I yelled back. "I'm sick of it jace. I'm done. I'm going to my dads for a couple days," Cora shouted then stormed upstairs. "Cora get back here," I ran after her. "Jace," Emilio stopped me. "Give her some time to herself," he said. "Not when she's going to leave me," I spat out. I was beyond furious. "Cora won't leave you jace. Give her some time to cool off," he stepped closer to me. "It was a fucking joke," I groaned out. "Yes we know. But we can see where cora is coming from. If beks or Carter was taken I would still have that fear it could happen again," Emilio sighed. "I'm going to go see her," I muttered and left.
