Gabriella's POV

I felt my body stirring in bed. I was still half asleep when I slowly opened my eyes to see a still dark room.

It seems like naalimpungatan ako.

I adjusted my gaze out the window and saw that the Sun hasn't even risen yet.

I wonder what time it is now.

I slowly got up in a sitting position at dahan-dahang iniabot ang aking cellphone na nakapatong sa katabi kong nightstand.

I turned it on at medyo napapikit pa ako nang agad tumama sa mata ko ang liwanag na nagmula sa screen nito.

When my eyes adjusted to the light agad kong tiningnan ang oras.

4:30AM

Masyado na namang maaga.

This has been happening ever since I got back home from the hospital. Although auntie already made a call and asked the doctors about it, sabi lang nila this was an effect by the medication process I went through during my unconscious stay there.

I slowly let out a breath.

Pinakiramdaman ko rin muna ang sarili ko. Looking around the quiet room, I contemplated wether I should go back to sleep or not.

I know very well that I won't be able to go back to sleep lang din naman so when I felt that my body pretty much ain't going back to rest, I decided to just head downstairs nalang.

"Great." Bulong ko. Dahan-dahan kong ibinaba ang aking mga paa sa sahig at sinuot ang aking tsilenas. Pinakiramdaman ko rin saglit ang aking ulo. When I felt that there wasn't anything off ay marahan akong tumayo mula sa aking higaan, turning on my nightlight at mainam na nagtungo papasok sa CR.

Nagmumog lang ako saglit at nang magawa ko na ang mga dapat kong gawin ay dahan-dahan akong naglakad palabas sa'kin kwarto heading down towards our kitchen.

Bahagya pa akong natigilan sa paglakad while still on the stairs at tiningnan muna saglit ang kabuuhan ng bahay taking in my surroundings. It was dark. The only thing providing me any form of vision is the small nightlight from the living room.

Huminga ako ng malalim. The cold breeze of the upcoming dawn surrounded me. It felt nice to be honest. It felt... familiar. I was never really a fan of hot weathers or summer anyway.

After standing for quite a while ay nagsimula na ulit akong maglakad patungo sa aking destinasyon. Once I entered, I switched open the light and it immediately illuminated the kitchen room. Napatingin ako sa gawi ng ref.

I felt the dryness of my throat and I slowly walked towards it as I decided to prepare a warm glass of milk.

Binuksan ko ito and I was immediately met by the coldness inside. I took out a box of fresh milk at mainam na ipinatong ito sa counter ng kitchen as I turned on the heater. I eventually put in a decent amount of milk inside it when I saw that it was ready.

My eyes watered a bit when I gave out a slight yawn at pinunasan ko ito using the back of my hand, sabay kuha ng baso from where they were at mainam na naupo malapit sa pinapainit kong gatas. When the heater signaled towards the word 'warmed' ay pinatay ko na ito. I slowly took the cover off and gently poured the milk inside my glass.

Nilagay ko naman ang pinaginitan sa sink at agad din naman 'tong hinugasan. After washing it ay agad ko rin namang kinuha ang glass of now warmed milk. Kinuha ko rin ang box of fresh milk at ibinalik ito sa loob ng ref.

I took a small sip from the glass as I made my way towards the kitchen table. The warm sensation slowly filled my throat and I felt the dryness in it immediately disappear.
