Chapter 24: Gratitude

Alexander's POV

"Okay class, since we are already in the middle of this semester, you guys will be required to take part in one of the school's yearly special extracurricular activity. I'm assuming everyone of you here is aware of what I'm talking about. But for formality's sake, I would still care to explain it."

Hays

Ewan ko ba pero nakakabagot 'tong araw na 'to. My body feels so down today. Siguro dahil pasukan na naman. Ay ewan. Wala ako sa mood para sa mga lectures ngayon.

Abala sa pagsalita si sir sa harap pero wala rin naman ako gaanong maintindihan. Aside sa meron kaming gaganapin na annual activity, na alam ko narin lang naman, 'di ko na na-pick up 'yung iba pa niyang pinagsasasabi.

"So, the yearly extracurricular activity is based on outside the school missions. Each of you will be given a blank data sheet that is to be filled up with your successfully finished missions. The data sheet is of course connected to your MHU profiles, you guys already know this since hindi naman ito ang first time niyo, so in order to access it, you students need to first access your profile in the school's online system."

Mission na naman ulit. Usually excited ako 'pag naaabot na namin ang phase ng pagaaral na 'to eh. I don't know why I just feel so bored and essentially out of it right now.

"Yow brow, we'll be having missions na ulit." Taas kilay kong hinarap ang nagsalita at nakita si Tobi na medyo nakausog malapit sa'kin ang upuan. Nakangisi siya na tila ba tuwang-tuwa sa naging announcement ni sir. Can't blame him since exciting naman talaga usually ang mga missions. Too bad I can't say the same thing for me at the moment.

Nagkibit-balikat lang ako at sinubukan nalang ulit ituon ang aking atensyon sa prof namin na nagsasalita.

"In case some of you forgot, missions will have 5 classifications. Class C, class B, class, A, class S and class SSS. The classification of your successfully finished missions will be the determining point of your final grade for this particular activity. Meaning, the more you take part in higher class missions and hopefully succeeding them, the higher the final grade you'll have for this year. Although 'di naman kailangan i-pwersa ang sarili, what you really need to aim is to fully fill in your data sheet with all the missions you've taken part of before this school year ends. Remember, if may kulang diyan kahit isa, maaaring ma-compromise na niyan ang pag-move up niyo for the next school year." Pagpapatuloy pa ni sir.

"Your missions will be posted on the update screen down the first floor. Basta be wise in choosing your missions okay? May excuse naman kayo from your initial classes. Kung gaano katagal ang magiging mission niyo, ganon din katagal ang magiging excuse slip niyo. So sa mga nagbabalak na 'di na papasok, now's your chance. Pero kayo na ang bahala kung bumagsak kayo sa mga subjects niyo." Biro niya at nagbungisngisan naman ang mga kaklase ko. Trev being the loudest one. "Oh sha, class dismissed."

And with that nagpaalam na nga si sir at tuluyan ng lumabas.

Napahikab naman ako.

I feel so bored at ang tamlay ng katawan ko.

"Hey bro, kain tayo sa baba. We still have 30 minutes pa naman until our next class." Yaya ni Trev. Tumayo siya sakan'yang upuan sabay unat. Tumingin muna siya sa gawi ko bago ulit nagsalita. "Ano? G ka?"
